Review: Vera Smith

General Details

I saw that she was touring and happened to be in Chicago and also saw that her reviews were positive so I reached out and she responded really quickly. She's definitely the girl in the pictures and the pictures do not even do her justice. She was very welcoming. As others have said, she has very very limited English proficiency and really only speaks Spanish and Portuguese, so that may be a challenge. My Spanish was decent enough for the most part and she was ready to pull out google translate on her phone pretty quickly when we needed help. So aside from communication issues, which weren't that big of a deal to me, she was perfect. Even despite a language barrier we managed to have decent, if sometimes halting, conversation and other times, well there wasn't really need for words. I will absolutely repeat as many times as possible before she leaves the US.
