Hobbyists complain about Summer's rigorous requirements or lack of response. While these sentiments could well be justified, all I can say is keep trying. If you clear the gate, the reward is more than worth it. FWIW - try a friendly approach (I know it's tough in email format) but IMO she follows her intuition in the selection process.
