I saw Pearl almost exactly a year ago, and couldn't wait to see her when she visited Boston again. She has been on a marathon tour of the States for months, since she has been unable to return to her home country during the pandemic. You would think she would be exhausted or aggravated or both, but she is such a sweetheart that I found her to be as welcoming and passionate as she was the first time I saw her. She is also extremely intelligent, and has continued her highly specialized education online throughout her tour. It's an overused phrase, but Pearl really is a gem.
