Review: Eden Monet

General Details

Eden stands at the large window and gazes out at the city. She is naked. The capacious window provides an unfettered view into our upper story hotel room. Across the street, onlookers from the neighboring hotel watch her, wishing they were there with her. The smiling, laid back eyes of the spirits of the Big Easy wink, acknowledging her approval of this young woman’s uninhibited, seductive display. New Orleans is a very sexy city which doesn’t try to hide her sexuality or beauty but chooses to flaunt it and openly celebrate it like a pre Lenten display of debauchery. Eden is a post Katrina transplant to this city which is in a state of rejuvenating herself. As I watch young Eden, I am struck that she is such an apt metaphor for the rebirth of this great city….
