Ok, it's been hit or miss for me in the Baltimore scene.  I'm for outcall only and willing to pony up for the room, hopefully for a little discount or something.

But my luck has been downright abysmal.  

Tonight I blew 200 bucks on the Block for nothing but overpriced lapdances.  

I need some recommendations.

Well, my first recommendation would be to STAY THE HELL AWAY FROM "THE BLOCK".  You've all ready given more than enough reasons.  Next, check out Kennedy, or Dawn and see if any of them will do outcall (since all have incall locations).  Just be prepared to find out that they might want to see you FIRST in incall.  If you can hack that, by all means GO FOR IT, and enjoy!  You will then, no doubt, become a VERY HAPPY man!

Think of the block as a huge tease disguised as a vacuum cleaner in the shape of a cute girl.  All they want to do is tease you and suck the cash out of your pocket and when there's nothing left, they move on to the next sap (hey, i've done it so I'm a sap, too) who's willing and gullible enough to offer the cash for their company.

Besides all that, I'd be really, REALLY, ***REALLY*** concerned with the health and safety of the ladies who work there.  Many use drugs, or are simply alcoholics, and can be convinced to do sexual things for very little cash.  This would not be a safe haven for this type of activity.  Most of them do it as a last resort anyway, and have decided they have no choice.  The ladies who we're likely to see on TER do it because they choose to get into this lifestyle and we assume like what they do, which is a really big difference!

As far as getting a discount, don't hold your breath.  Most of the ladies who are any good don't negotiate prices, other than an occaisional special, and in all truth, there are enough willing clients to not need to discount their prices.

Find a provider that you're attracted to and don't worry about her price.  If she's too expensive, then you need to look elsewhere or not participate in the hobby..  I know I can't afford it too often, so I save up for the really phenominal experiences..  Until my buddy Jeopcon starts funding me or I win Megamillion$, I'll have to be selective..!

Disagree sharply with JB's broadsweep about the safety on the girls of the Block.  I've met many, had some fun times with a few and not had any problems. But I've also been selective in who I've arranged things with. I'll concede that some if not many of the block girls have drug problems. But more than a few are simply single mom's trying to pay the bills.  
Just don't want to diss the block and all its women in one shot.

And anyone that goes into a strip club and doesn't understand that the tease is the game, shouldn't go into strip clubs.

As for JB"s other statements about finding the right provider, no arguments there. I'd also recommend some of the many fine ladies who tour Baltimore on their run up the east coast. Have found a few gems there and the locals he recommends are excellent. Incall is going to be your best shot.
You may also think about the fine women of DC. I've had a few of them come up for a multi-hour outcall in B'more after I've visited them once for incall in DC.

Most important -read their reviews and make sure they are what you are looking for.

The VIP fee at the Flamingo is less than $300.00. $125.00 to the club. $80 - $100.00 to the girl. One of the better bargains down on the block. Only problem is their selection of ladies has been really bad lately. Often times you visit this place and you are the only none employee there which is no fun. Other clubs will charge about $300.00 to $500.00 for similar services. With that being said. The block has definately priced themselves out of the market for those looking for that hour worth of happiness. The fees of $200 - $500 results in a very rushed time that way last 15 - 30 minutes depending on the club. An enjoyable one hour unrushed session in a more pleasant atmosphere with a local or traveling companion will cost you less than a block visit. However if you enjoy the overall block experience, club hopping, the shopping around and finding the diamond in the rough, the negotiating and playng the game, well the block is still a lot of fun but at a hefty price.

Well, I need to defend my comments.. I've met some, but mostly have been screwed, and not in the good way.  While it's certainly an across the board statement, MOST of the girls who work the Block are not going to be your high class ladies you're likely to encounter on TER.  

I'd met one lady who swore she wanted to meet me privately, and on 3 different occaisions, she swore she'd call me, and of course, she never did.  One lady offered all these lofty plans for me, but as soon as she'd pocketed my cash, she changed her tune, did absolutely nothing, and the manager refused to do anything, and I probably got close to being kicked out or arrested.  The managers are all in collusion with the girls, and if they rip you off, it's tough shit for you.  

In fact, a friend who works in a club who I've known for years (male bartender) has said that in many cases, the girls KNOWINGLY go into encounters with the goal to rip off a customer/sucker and have no intention of providing ANY SERVICE AT ALL, and they have to give kickbacks to the managers to defend them as there are certainly going to be the potential for physical fights taking place.  When you get ripped off for $200-300 or more, you're likely to want your cash back from the theft/scam/con they pulled off.. Most of us won't call the cops, although I really should have dialed 911 after I got ripped that one time, but I was a big wuss and didn't.  My bet is they'd have given my cash back if they knew the cops were coming.

There are certainly gems there, but the odds are slim and the chances of being ripped off are pretty high.  There's no way to check in advance on a particular lady as the odds are she's been there a week and won't be there the next, as they generally come and go pretty quickly.  My experience goes back to when The Block was 3-4 blocks long, and you could get almost anything you wanted, although I'd guess that included any variety of STDs..

In the land of $250 an hour encounters, the Block is not the place to find anything more than a teasing lapdance, and even if you're lucky enough to get laid, it'll be rushed, on a naugahide covered piece of foam rubber in a hot cramped room in the back of a club.  If you get 30 minutes before they start knocking, you're lucky, and the odds of finding any vague resemblance to a GFE is almost impossible.  MAYBE if you are able to meet them outside the club, you'll have better success, but inside a club is going to be a less than stellar experience..

there are excellent providers.. try doing a search on eros in the baltimore area. most prices are 200 to 300 fs . and good gfe to boot. Try seeing michelle first. 200 pretty lady . easy to get in touch with..
I use to go to the block before.. now there is just to much fun to be had outside of the block,  and safety issues.
You know what you get and were your going and for how much.

I just recently found this board a couple of months ago. It is very comforting knowing  what is being said on here is mostly corect on the girls and peoples knowledge.

I have the upmost respect for jeopcon, Joe.  However, I have to agree with you.  I'm a born and raised Bal'moron who's been around the better part of six decades (supposedly 4 of those as an adult, but that is open to debate).  "The Block" has been around a whole lot longer.  My goodness, my father worked just a block south of "the block", which as you said was about 4 blocks long, west to east, along E. Baltimore St., just north of the inner harbor.  Today, the primary portion of it REALLY IS only about a block or two long.  I can TELL you that my "old man" had some REALLY WILD war stories about that place.  None like my first cousin though, who actually once OWNED controlling interest in a nightclub, down there.  First hand, I can tell you that the owners and male employees of those places really HAVE TO BE "glorified bouncers".  In fact, not all that GLORIFIED, either!  Their primary job function (aside from sucking in the customers off of E. Baltimore St.) is to PROTECT the girls.  S.v., they are on the SIDE of the girls, in whatever dispute that a customer may have with one or more of them.  They're not really interested in the customers' problems or arguments.  Their attitude is that they have "heard it all before".  Oh yes, about calling the cops in a dispute (as if you would anyway), Baltimore City Police HEADQUARTERS is RIGHT NEXT TO "the block" on its east side.  So, chances are you won't even have to use a cell phone to call...LOL  Now, who's side do you suppose the COPS are on??  Hey, if the cops can get away with it, in plain clothes they'll bop it for a quickie THEMSELVES.  But, they know "the jungle" a WHOLE LOT BETTER than ANY of us.

I like Jeopie too and he's entitled to his opinions and I'd never give him shit over that.  I just didn't tend to agree  and i said what i felt was my opinion.

Well jeopcon, right or wrong is only in the mind of the beholder anyway.  Otherwise, that would be like saying that a particular provider will always do everything in her reviews with EVERY hobbier she sees.  That's why everything is about YMMV.  Maybe you have a knack for success on the block, and Joe doesn't.  Or maybe you've been lucky and Joe hasn't.  Like you say, that wouldn't make either one of you right or wrong, just different.  As the song goes: "There are no good guys; there are no bad guys.  There are you and me, and we just DISAGREE.."  Like they say: "Opinions are like assholes.  Everybody has one".

The Block is interesting, but a tad annoying.  The only reason I got there is because it's in the neighborhood.
