Depending on where you are, you'll see things such as money on casinos, money on libraries, money for constructions on roads and buildings, and money, money, money; $175 million here, $250 million there, $375 million here, $325 million there.

When will I see the legalization of prostitution as a question on the ballot? I saw legalization of same sex marriages. There is usually an explanation of the proposed idea. In this case (prostitution), it may say: prostitution crimes will be reduce, the prison population will be reduce, increase tax revenues, and other benefits. It may even say that legalizing prostitution will create new facilities to work, create new jobs, increase the economy, and will create a competitive aspects for escorts. Some people spend a shit load on escorts. The economy for escorts may even be better than Best Buy (as an example). Some clients don't hesitate to spend $300 here, $400 there, and they'll do it frequently. Well, not so much for Best Buy. After you buy a TV, you don't have to buy another TV for at least 4 years. With pussy, you always need pussy at least 4, 5, or 10 times a month ;) If you add the money a person spend on escorts annually, then that money can be generated into tax revenues for the state.

In other countries, politicians, lawyers, teachers, blue collar workers, they can go around and see an escort and can care less about being discrete. Actually, the politicians in other countries where prostitution is legal go about seeking prostitution openly. "I'm the senator goddammit, and I want some pussy!".

Hopefully I don't die by the time we have that question on the ballot. We already legalized marijuana and a bunch of other things. Why not prostitution? Well, I assume I already know the answer to that question. But, its 2012 people! Let's change for the better :)

It will happen when someone will have the balls to tackle the issues...It can happen as early as 2014 elections..

We have achieved far more difficult things in the history of our great republic.  We have abolished slavery, gave women right to vote, ended segregation, passed social security and medicare and most recently achieved  health care reform.  All these things needed balls... Its the balls that get things done.... Plain and simple.

We need more independents, independent in name and spirit, to take this country forward. We need them at all levels of the government. People who will shed their partisan mask and govern in true independent spirit. There were lot more independents in the US senate when our great republic gained independence from Great Britain.  Our first president (George Washington) was also unaffiliated with any party. Go figure....

We just need to go back to our old roots....

Looking forward to what more positive changes 2014 brings... Kudos to voters in Colorado and Washington  for making recreational marijuana legal, and more Kudos to Maryland voters for voting yes on Question 6.

Hear. hear. I voted for Jill Stein, the Green Party candidate. Of course, I knew DC would go Obama so I could vote my conscience. Obama's record is actually worse than Bush's: more deportations, more illegal killings of innocent civilians by drone strikes, more prosecutions of government whistle blowers, continuing torture in secret prisons.....

Or as I heard it stated yesterday, "this election taught us that the truth doesn't matter to people anymore".

We are headed to a dangerous place historically speaking.  I guess at least we chose that freely?

But personally, I don't like to throw away my vote. Who Jill?  Third party candidate idea is very appealing, but we haven't had anyone half as strong since Ross Perot. We can't expect to have an independent President without having any independents in the House and the Senate.

And honestly, I don't care if Obama or Bush, for that matter, end up killing a few civilians in process of taking down terrorists.  Last time I checked thousands of people who died on 9/11 were innocent civilians. Drone attacks are excellent way to take down these guys.  A lot better than putting our soldiers in harm's way.
