In what model of logic could there possibly be a conflict ?
Reading your post leads me to believe ( I could be wrong) you completely missed my point about how software can drive customer interaction with ones own business model. Agency, independent is completely irrelevant. If the majority of any businesses customers, don't give a crap about some new feature, the business owner is excited about; that feature eventually goes away. If it stays, it gets ignored by the 10 percent of customers who generating 90% of a site's revenue.
You appear to forget Independents are business people and the smart one's see it that way. Business is business whether you represent and market one product ( yourself ) or many, the basic rules are the same.
By the way, the "available now" feature is a fad that is dying off. There are three major escort marketing sites that have it and two of them who TER will not allow me to name to PROVE my point, are seriously considering dumping it.
Why?
Because the Directory site owners feel it doesn't really add any value to THEIR site. Take note the "hobbyist" was not included in THEIR value decision because, the provider feedback (they see as more important) to them has been "so, so". How do I know this ? Because I spend lots of money with them and I talk directly with management so I have a bit of an inside track to what they are thinking.
I know you think this feature is great, hey fine no biggie, knock yourself out. However step back and take a look at what the Escort Directory industry is currently DOING and it is not moving in that direction, plain and simple.
As for flaming, why the heck would I flame you? For what presenting your perception? The only time I flame someone is when they clearly ask for it. Then I whip out my Paul Chen Tiger Elite Katana disembowel them, give them just enough time to realize whats' happened and then I remove their freaking head. Most people in these parts know when you push me to that point, I don't take prisoners.
You Sir are no where near that line, even if you are misguided. { Laugh }
We may disagree however we don't have to be disagreeable in the process.
