In what model of logic could there possibly be a conflict ?
Reading your post leads me to believe ( I could be wrong) you completely missed my point about how software can drive customer interaction with ones own business model. Agency, independent is completely irrelevant. If the majority of any businesses customers, don't give a crap about some new feature, the business owner is excited about; that feature eventually goes away. If it stays, it gets ignored by the 10 percent of customers who generating 90% of a site's revenue. You appear to forget Independents are business people and the smart one's see it that way. Business is business whether you represent and market one product ( yourself ) or many, the basic rules are the same. By the way, the "available now" feature is a fad that is dying off. There are three major escort marketing sites that have it and two of them who TER will not allow me to name to PROVE my point, are seriously considering dumping it. Why? Because the Directory site owners feel it doesn't really add any value to THEIR site. Take note the "hobbyist" was not included in THEIR value decision because, the provider feedback (they see as more important) to them has been "so, so". How do I know this ? Because I spend lots of money with them and I talk directly with management so I have a bit of an inside track to what they are thinking. I know you think this feature is great, hey fine no biggie, knock yourself out. However step back and take a look at what the Escort Directory industry is currently DOING and it is not moving in that direction, plain and simple. As for flaming, why the heck would I flame you? For what presenting your perception? The only time I flame someone is when they clearly ask for it. Then I whip out my Paul Chen Tiger Elite Katana disembowel them, give them just enough time to realize whats' happened and then I remove their freaking head. Most people in these parts know when you push me to that point, I don't take prisoners. You Sir are no where near that line, even if you are misguided. { Laugh } We may disagree however we don't have to be disagreeable in the process.

Somes guys are getting upset seeing these posts. I for one pass on then unless I have a suggestion of who they might like to see.
Ladies do they bother you?
Do they help you?
Do you feel as others it's a was of board space when most could use the search feature?
I agree the search feature should be used, it's there why not take advantage of it, I do.
But there are times I enjoy seeing the replies from ladies when I do an ISO post.
And I seriously don't understand why some are bothered enough to spend the time complaining.
And as I look back they are selective to whom they tell to use the search feature and not consistant.
Should there be a policy where the poster must state they have used the search feature?
I'm not interested in hearing from the guys please, let the ladies speak here.
Don't want to hijack the OP's post, but how many are actually really bothered by ISO posts?
Both post my own ISOs and help dudes out with their ISOs when I can.
...some guys who DEFINITELY just get a kick out of seeing who will jump and respond but I can attest to that it works sometimes.
You can more-or-less by now tell the guys who didn't bother to search at all first and the guys who may have but are just looking for a more personal touch on recommendations (from other guys giving faves publicly or privately as well as the ladies). And they could say the used the search feature first but of course they could just lie so they don't get flamed for being lazy lol.
When I see ISO's like "Who gives the best Greek in DC/NoVa" and nothing more meh ..... just doesn't sound too serious (or thought out) and makes me think the OP just wants to see whose gonna say 'ME ME ME ME' lol. *shrugs*
most of the ISO posts are made by guys who have no reviews, very old reviews or most guys that are brand new..
The root of the problem is that they don't bother to search and are looking for handouts. Perhaps they don't know how to search. And its not a crime not to know. Take my "Have you searched" comments in a constructive way - a way to teach them the ropes if you will...
I wouldn't be surprised if half of the guys don't even have VIP to do a FULL SEARCH.

The root of the problem is that they don't bother to search and are looking for handouts.
Haven t you been paying attention guys?
"The bar" has been lowered so that everyone can feel good about themselves and not have to compete. The new America is land of the entitlement philosophy and slavery by handouts. As a general principle now the education system doesn't teach 'how to think', it teachs you WHAT to think and capitalism is bad. After all in a competitive capitalist environment you may be required to use CRITICAL THINKING and deduce your own answers.

Oh no we can't have that..... that might lead to individuals doing for themselves and not depended on others to do for them.
I know, I'm such a radical believing in self determination, personal liberty and freedom of the individual along with the personal responsibility which comes with it.
But none of what I have said has filtered down to this business and the actions of people on this board. No, that would be crazy conspiracy talk.
Good thing, I haven't said anything like that.

There's another local board out west that is. For the simple reason that it has a section for providers to make their availability status known to paid members in REAL TIME or damn near it. Lots of reliable, veteran clients out there with crazy schedules, making the bacon that we share with the ladies for their time. The TER ad board is a total failure for guys like us. IMO the TER system is really inefficient with helping the ladies eliminate holes in their schedules and providng clients with plenty of choice for safe, last second appointments. Go ahead and flame away, but there are plenty of dudes on this board that agree with me. Probably a silent majority of backbenchers. Ladies and TER admin take notice and consider tweaking this board's design and policies to make it better.
It's called a business model.
When it no longer meets the needs of its customer base, that model unless it adapts dies.
This is assuming of course, that enough of the market desires the change to significantly affect the business model or motivate it to change.
You may have a valid complaint about the TER software and business model. However, your particular issue may not achieve enough customer critical mass to affect the results the site is generating. Objects, business models, and belief systems in motion stay in motion until met with an equal or overwhelming opposite force.
It doesn't mean your observation is any less valid.
Besides, this is why savvy marketers like me have private newsletters or user subscribed daily alerts. Why depend upon a site when I can find, hire or create the means to do it for myself!
