After reading the  new rules i concluded they are either behind naming the new miss TER (Summer miss ter) or they announce the next one with roughly 3 months delay.

If a video is required, I would think that the expense and time involved to make one would be less than commensurate for most girls winning Ms TER.  Let's face it, providing is still a regional business for the most part, and receiving national recognition is not going to translate into increased business for most girls, so why invest the time and expense to make a video, IMO.

Videos are the new photos so I'm told - and I do believe it  
Women won't be just using them on here, they'll be going on their websites, ads etc
I do believe that they increase business as much as I am hearing because men have a much better idea of what they will be getting than they will from over photo shopped pictures. Women wouldn't be shelling out the bucks for a video if they weren't getting a handsome return on it....

I like idea of a video, something creative, artistic, sexy maybe.

As for MS TER 2nd Quarter, I may have the answer to Sasha's question. It looks like there are ZERO entrants this quarter, so If the goal was to kill the competition, Congratulations TER, "Mission Accomplished" lol

Of course the announcement will be 3 months behind. When Miss TER was a monthly thing the winner was announced in the middle of the following month. Now that it's quarterly, it is announced almost at the end of the quarter. Miss Spring was announced on May 9. Shouldn't she have a 3 month "reign?" I would xpect Miss Summer to be announced in mid August.  You are a month early expecting an announcement now.  Of course that would be IF there were any entrants. As GaG says there are none!

Several years ago, TER replaced the traditional photo theme threads on the regional boards with a single photo board. Miss TER started as an incentive for providers to post on the new board. Miss TER was a simple, almost quaint recognition of the provider with the most likes, along with other factors such as board participation and good standing.  

And all the reasons for that. Plus, it seems like it'd be a lot of work and expense!

Just because a technology is available, it doesn't mean that it should be used by everyone for everything. Let me explain by reiterating something I've said many times before (about Provider web pages).  
- No Flash!
- No scripts!
- Etc., etc., etc.

Many of us (client side) use technology that BLOCKS or AVOIDS as much high tech as possible to protect our privacy and safety.

Videos and all that crap are great for junior and high school students and for celebrities and so on. It doesn't mean that it's for EVERYONE.

I rarely look at the Photo Board (and I don't know what the 'click count' is - anybody got statistics?). I rarely look at Provider videos unless I think it is safe.

I've been saying that about the Top 100 for years, and you are totally right about the Miss TER thing going the same direction.

So funny when everyone assumed that providers need to talk in the video, did everyone missed the part  "- In the video, you should tell us and members something about yourself ". You do know guys, it's a video, visual art, you can tell about your self way more though it when through words.

Too expensive if you really want to do a quality video to do one for ms TER and the privacy aspect of voice on video.

I used to laugh at some of the womens strip tease acts when I was younger. Some women try to act sexy and end up looking clumsy. I wouldn't do it unless you can pull it off or it can hurt you more than it helps.

We are a competitive species.  If you explicitly announce a competition, expect the competitors to act competitively.

or written words. I guess you could imply that visual art "tells" something about about yourself. I can see why some providers, like MiaHug, we're confused and passed on the competition since the directions we're unclear.

but let me take the opportunity to ask a question, just how can there be a winner when NO ONE submitted a proper entry?  There were ZERO videos submitted to the post you made on the Media board three months ago, actually there wasn't even a single response to that post, much less any videos submitted.

For Ms. TER, the selection process will be based on your interest  in becoming Ms TER,  as demonstrated by a video submission.  While members can ‘like’ your video, it is not be the only critieria that determines Ms TER.

- you must submit a video to this thread, within each quarter to be considered for Ms TER

TER has never liked having any cut and fast rules about Ms TER, which has led to some real head scratchers where it has come to some previous winners who had very few likes, very average  reviews and very little board presence, yet still won Ms TER.

If "everyone" happened to miss the point, wouldn't that actually go to show that the issue was on YOUR end for not being more clear about what you actually meant?

If no one has submitted anything how is it possible that there is a winner ? And what does that say to the previous girls who did submit a video last period to be considered? Is this another one of those... yeah there's rules but we pretty much do what we like and choose who we like?  

The rules of course as usual are rather unclear, but the one thing that is clear is that a video MUST be submitted on the quarterly Ms TER thread on the Media board for a provider to be eligible.  If there are no eligible candidates, just how can we have a winner? That makes no sense, none.
