Amazed anyone even knows who Chris Rea is (although check ur spelling, Walt!
However, combining him and George Winston...dude, you have earned the title of having eclectic taste in music! :P
There are many different textures and flavors when it comes to music, and no doubt the entire spectrum is covered within this community.
So whats your pick for Sexiest Piece of Music?
(if you need to break it down into categories...)
Favorite male vocal; female vocal; instrumental
My choices:
Male Vocal - Van Morrison; Moondance
Female Vocal - Peggy Lee; (You Give Me) Fever
Instrumental - Miles Davis; Kind of Blue
Honorable Mention - Je T'Aime...moi non plus
are equally haunting and ethereal...
can be transcendent because her voice combined with the words are hard to describe. You have to hear it and experience the emotion. Haunting and ethereal do a pretty good job however.
Doc : three 70's tunes come to mind ( Priapus geezer is showing his age------ ) Donna Summer's "Love to love ya, Baby" ( remember those moaning orgasms ? ) Maria Muldaur's
"Midnight at the Oasis " & Stevie Wonder's
"Dreaming" ( off the Fullfillingness First finale
album ). For some reason, all these songs brings
getting laid to mind------but with MY screen name EVERYTHING reminds me of getting laid-------
the Sadeness - Enigma!
or
Whiter shade of Pale - Poco Harem
or
Nights in white satin - the Moody Blues.....
now those are songs.... to really make love with.
Samantha - of be seduced by me... she played the Sadeness - by Enigma....
what a total combination of music and lust.
but hey Heather of Tampa... also has the most seductive music.... always the right combination of lust and sensual desire.... truly a treat!
Male Vocal-
Drowndeep:Hula- Maxwell or
Use Me- Bill Withers
Female Vocal-
When I Look In Your Eyes- Amber Whitlock or
Feelin' Love- Paula Cole or
I'd Like To- Corinne Bailey Rae
Jazz-
Nat King Cole- Unforgettable
Classical-
Tchaikovsky's Second Piano Conerto
Bingo! I particularly like the classical selection. Chamber winds and piano is great although I'm also a big Chicago Symphony fan. Give me Bud Herseth back on principal trumpet, put Pictures at an Exhibition on the Martin Logans and I'm there all day long.
I could see Miles being great.
My plan is some BOB MARLEY. It's laid-back, and never gets old.
most Kim Carnes, or Gal Costa is even better.
can't say about the other categories.

Wise you are, Doc...yessssss!!! I love topics like this...something we ALL can feel good about.
I can't pick just one, cuz sometimes sexy is playful, sometimes intense, and sometimes heartfelt. So, here's my top five songs per category...
Female
------
Portishead - "Glory Box" (Beth Gibbons wrote this when she was 17, and she is just basically singing "I want to be fucked")
Meredith Brooks - "What Would Happen" (Fucking amazing song from a hit or miss artist, but this was seriously sexy...you felt her right there)
Dido - "Here With Me" (Haven't we all felt this way at one time or another? Too stunned to get out of bed)
Sinead Lohan - "What Can Never Be" (So slight and gentle that it is like a lover on her last night before she moves away whispering in your ear)
Suzanne Vega - "Calypso" (A song of longing, of having your heart belong to another, and of the discoveries you can make in this place)
Male
----
The Cure - "Fascination Street" (Robert Smith sings of meaningless sex and cheap thrills with a gusto that is intoxicating)
Depeche Mode - "The Love Thieves" (David Gahan's voice never sounded more longing on this ode to unrequited love)
Prince - "The Beautiful Ones/Computer Blue" (Took his early sexy sexy personality and gave it a heart, then lost it in the following song. "Shall we begin? Yes, Lisa." Mmmmm)
A Perfect Circle - "Magdalena" (Maynard James Keenen's intensity with an awesome, orgasmic guitar solo, all set to an ode to a stripper)
Chris Isaak - "Blue Spanish Sky" (Silvertone himself crying out from a broken heart. Nobody's heart broke like his. Again, great trumpet solo)
Instrumental
------------
Miles Davis Sextet - "Flamenco Sketches" (Trane's solo itself is worth the price of the CD, but it slowly builds like lovemaking itself)
Al DiMeola - "Traces of a Tear" (Gentle, sensual, heartfelt, beautiful, and haunting...a lover's touch in afterglow)
Steve Roach - "In The Presence of Something" (Slowly brings you out of the darkness into a shaman's ceremony...you can feel the heat)
Mychael Danna - "Snake Dance" (A song from the soundtrack to "Exotica"...just a great Indian drone that is full of mystery and tension)
George Winston - "Moon" (Hearts aching and reaching out to each other...like looking into your lovers eyes in the candlelight and not wanting to let go of them)
Thanks for the thread, Doc!
...is Layla by Derek and the Dominos (the original, not Clapton's unplugged version).
Hmm, well first I have to distinguish between songs to make love to, and pure raw sex type songs. But you asked for sexiest songs, so I'm thinking of the latter category.
Female vocal - Black Velvet, Allanah Miles (sp?)
Male Vocal - Stranglhold, Ted Nugget
Instrumental - just about any trance music you can think of
Honorable mentions: Closer by Nine Inch Nails and Ballad of Resurrection Joe and Rosa Whore by Rob Zombie
As an Indian (SOUTH ASIAN) woman, I love old classical Bollywood songs. The songs that are about love are pure poetry to my ears and really tug at my soul and my panties too! LOL
In terms of English music, I love 80's stuff. Anything that is slow and sensual and has a beat that makes me want to sway my hips gets me into the mood anytime!

Amazed anyone even knows who Chris Rea is (although check ur spelling, Walt!
However, combining him and George Winston...dude, you have earned the title of having eclectic taste in music! :P
Given your taste in cinema, I almost expect you to have great taste in music, too. See the standard you have set for yourself? :P
I loved that song of Chris' "Working On It".
I like Paula Cole's "Be Somebody", but not for sexiness. Just her best song, IMO. I love how T-Boz comes in on the chorus.

Well c'mon! Speaking of LOLcats, I was just posting one in a thread or two above.
