that makes him think it's appropriate to just "stop by" unannounced?
yesterday i'm sitting around at home, in my pajamas. i have my best friend over cus its sunday. i don't do a goddamn thing on sundays.
sundays are my day. my clients know this.
its like 5pm, when someone knocks on the door.
i know i have no bookings, and nobody else knows where i live. (i'm very much into privacy.)
i dont answer the door. because, for one, i dont answer for unexpected company. its fucking rude.
secondly, my best friend is there, and is completely unaware of what i do for a living. (like i said, i like my privacy.)
finally they go away, but before they do, they STICK A NOTE IN MY DOOR.
it says something like:
"alice, i couldnt reach you, i tried to text you and email you. i got worried about you (no actually i'm just horny.) lets have dinner sometime, (because i'd like to spend time with you for free) blah blah blah (i'm a stalker)."

clients always get uncomfortable with visiting a provider at a hotel-
they want to see a provider at a private residence.

and why would you TELL clients that's really where you live? That's 'why' he just showed up! You prove why it is beyond stupid to work from the very place you live, and it can get worse. Wait til you get one who slashes your tires or kills your dog. I hope you have no minors living there, or you are going down for pandering.

to host out of your residence. She has told others on the boards the exact same thing in the past. You say that you are neither careless, stupid or naive, but the scenario that you are laying out is evidence to the contrary.
 
While you are correct that it is stupid for a hobbyist to drop in unannounced, I could only imagine what level of hobbyist you are attracting at $100.

Trailer at the  trailer park  . Fucking WiFi was out due to the fact that I didn't pay the bill. My hair was a mess and I finished I pack of tall boys . I fell asleep and had this wicked dream that some WK came a call in at my estate where I conduct my business . Several of my girls were there so he may get his dream , wink wink . Th n my ass woke up by the knock on the door for the rent so I posted this crap !

 i only see regulars and only a few times a week, so generally my private residence works.  
 many providers do this.  
   
 anyway i'm not gonna go back and forth with the wonderful folks on general boards-  
 i really just wanted to mention how inappropriate random visits are. ok then.

First, MANY ladies work out of their own home. It is your choice to do so and no one should be critical of your decision. If it works for you, by all means continue to do so. I have seen a few ladies who work out of their own homes and they are quite successful doing so without incident.  

Clients should NEVER Abuse a Provider's Privacy, especially if she works out of her own Home. Showing up on a day she's off and sliding a note under her Door is Not Cool.  

I remember feeling bad for you when you were trying to figure out how this board works, and how to get  reviews and get them linked to your name. I remember that some of the "folks" here gave you a hard time and expressed doubt that you were even real.

I have heard other providers say this and I completely disagree.  I much prefer a hotel to a private residence. I don't mean Motel 6.  I mean a nice average hotel.  The kind that you have to go through the lobby to get to the room and there is actually a hallway.  Not the ones that you enter the room directly from the outside.  I know the sheets have been washed at least in the last 24 hours, the bathroom is clean.  I can get a clean towel.  I don't have to deal with your dog.  I don't have cat hair all over my clothes.  Everything is fresh and clean.   And then there is the bonus of seeing if we can get so loud that the couple on the other side of the wall can hear us.

You flooded the newbie board not long ago, and we were all nice, but give it a rest. If you do dumb shit, prepare for what comes with it, and no...not everyone is that careless with where they spread their legs! Don't sit here and tell me that at a hundred bucks, you're getting nothing but doctors and CEOs flooding your doorstep.  

Here's a clue babe...when you charge what I do, you don't have to suck many d*cks. Try it sometime...if you can get guys to pay that. I see 2 clients A MONTH, if that, and I am not broke having to work from the very home I sleep in every night. It's called having another income so I don't have to charge bargain basement rates here. Gee, what a concept! That's why I can sit on the boards all day long...I do not HAVE TO work when I don't want to. In fact, I just got back from being off for an entire month from d*ck sucking. Gotta love that.

FYI, if you charged more, maybe you could rent a private incall Alice...duh. Most of us do NOT use hotels unless we are on tour, and even then, we use condos if available. If you're using low rate, shitty hotels, I can see why guys would be a bit put off. Try using a Hyatt Regency...oh wait, you can't, because that would be 4 guys a day you would have to see to pay for it! You are a beautiful girl...you really are! You could easily charge 3 or 4 times what you do, and still make out even. And, attract quality clients, not these douche bags.

Actually, you only know what those providers have 'told you' vs. what might have really went on. I am not going to go around telling clients about the bad things other clients have done to me...simply TMI, and might drive them away for fear of backlash.  

Now I have a Reason to go to Arizona besides seeing the Grand Canyon.

In a lot of cases it means men who have lifestyles they don't want to f*** up. I raised my rates up for that very reason. (And I mean it guys... come on.) I'd rather have less clients that pay more and not rake in tons of money and live safely and more humbly, than have guys who can buy a dime and sell a dime to get a hundred bucks. (I have no idea if that's accurate, but...)

well ok, in her defense I have no idea if Alice drinks, and she doesn't appear to be fat, but stupid and defensive is also not a good way to go through life, and that definitely applies to the OP.

 If you want to act like a whiney brat when someone tells you what an idiot you are (and I did not say that in my FIRST POST) don't ask in the first place. No one gives a shit about your dumb rants. Get on facebook! Yes, it is your choice to work from your home, as dumb and indiscreet as that may be, but don't come here and whine about situations that would not happen if you used some common sense. Unless you live in a busy city or in a high rise, residential areas are not to be used for the hobby, but hey...do what you want, and keep whining about it.

Maybe it is different when you do not live in NYC but why would you have someone to your home if it was not a secure building?  Many providers in NYC use there apts and I believe that is because hotels are just ridiculously expensive.  The difference is that most of them are in buildings where doorman have to let u in, you need to get buzzed from the apt, and some buildings now have elevators where anyone can walk in but can't use them unless the doorman or the person in the elevator has access card to use the elevator.  Always better to be safe

I think everyone here really does mean well, although their delivery is kind of rough. It is like a tough love approach, don't let it burn you. I have yet to look at your profile but the consensus seems to be that you are a pretty girl. I do agree with those that have said raise your rates. If you are charging in the 100 range I can only imagine what you deal with. I saw a big difference in my clientele when I went from 250 to 400 and 250 isn't that cheap when you really consider it. So, the advice I have for you is this keep in mind I'm weighing in before I look at your stuff.

I went to look at your stuff and you do have nice photos and you are a pretty girl. But in your recent review, it said some info that surprised me.... I'm not going to say it here... But I guess it is a fetish.....even if I don't necessarily agree with it....

I would never drop in unannounced to my best friend's house, let alone a provider.  As far as surprise visits at my house, well, my friends know the dogs won't allow it and I have to give commands for the dogs to allow them out of the vehicle.

I am actually more comfortable in a hotel than at a private residence.  Not as likely for a pimp or 2 to come in and say get out, or be set up for robbery.  This, of course depends on hotel.  I figure it could be an even bet for LE.  Nothing 100% , a well reviewed provider with good rep is always a safer bet either type place.

I was guity of seeing clients in my home but recently got a separate place when a clients wife got wind of his visit to me.  I will never work from a hotel as most of my clients hate the idea and I have seen many "high end" escorts work from "high end" hotels only to get stood up or cancelled on last minute leaving her high & dry with a hotel bill.  Forget that crap!  Also, Craiglist killer comes to mind.   Anyways,  when I worked from my home I had very respectful clients who were not retarded enough to show up at anytime uninvited!   In regards to Alice's situation, let's be honest, it seems as though #1 she conducts herself very low class, uneducated, etc.. #2 she has a low budget rate #3 these things have therefore attracted  low life guys with no class or clue.  Sounds like this particular guy doesn't even take her seriously. Like attracts the like.  She needs to clean up her act & attitude.

Several people have told you that your own actions most likely caused the situation you ranted about.  Instead of listening and accepting part of the blame you decided a better path would be to attack the people offering advice.   Seems pretty logical to me.  Now how many potential clients are going to reconsider now that they now there are potential stalkers hanging around your place.  Just what every guy wants to worry about while trying to have some fun time.

I don't do calls out of my place Anymore. The same thing happen to me several years ago and besides some clients who start to feel a connection who's to say they can drive by your place at any time to see who's coming and going.  NO WAY I cut that out so I can sleep a little better at night.
