and I've been with him for 8 years.  But he needs to learn the "cough" method...also detailed in my blog.  
   
 Whenever you have a painful experience, the "cough" method really helps lessen the pain.  I "coughed" for my epidural, and when he pounded the needle in my spine, I didn't feel a thing.  I "coughed" for my catheter and also didn't feel a thing.  And when I also coughed for my IV, I knew they were on to something.  
   
 My gyno either needs to use the "cough" method or give me a local the next time (in 2021) that I need a new Mirena.

 And now, more information than you've ever wanted to know.   I usually reserve this level of candidness for my blog, but, when the IUD fits...  
   
 SO, the Mirena is for women who have HAD children because it goes THROUGH our cervix...more on that batch of fucking fun later...  
   
 But there is an IUD also available for women who have not had children, including teens (for you parents out there) that does NOT go through the cervix.    
   
 Mirena is great because it's 5 year, low estrogen (for us grannies over 35), birth control that usually will either substantially reduce, or even eliminate (in my case) periods.  
   
 WTF is not to love about that?!!  
   
 I just had my 3rd one put in a couple of weeks ago, and I don't ever remember it being that painful.  Either I have become a wuss in my old age, or my gyno didn't provide any local numbing before the procedure (it was the latter).  
   
 Well let me tell you, the photos of that little em effer look harmless, but it has these little "fingers" that grab on to our vagina to "hold on" to, and when that sucker is pulled out, those little effers grab on for the whole ride down.  "Holy effing shit!!" is all I could think of to say to my gyno.  
   
 THEN he goes to put the new one in, which has to pierce through my cervix.  Well, let me just tell you how fucking awesome THAT feels.  If he wasn't such a nice guy, I would have definitely kicked him in the effing face.  LOL  
   
 Contrary to what some may believe, I am NOT a whimp.  I've had the crap kicked out of me by guys, been choked out by guys (jiujitsu), and have almost been broken in half by guys (also GJJ, lol).  But after having my vagina ripped out of my body and then pierced through immediately afterward, I was pretty much ready to pass the fuck out.  
   
 If you get a Mirena, make sure they give you a local, or whatever else to help with the pain.  It's awesome other than that one day every 5 years where they rip your vajayjay inside out.  LOL

 The needle pounded into the spine is called an epidural...it relieves painful contractions during vaginal child birth.  And since you have inquired about it in depth, I will elaborate on it in depth with the related post from my blog...  
   
 "I have a VERY high tolerance of pain, and when these a-holes gave me Pitocin and asked me how painful my contractions were, I had to restrain myself from choking them to death and tell them that if they didn’t give me a fucking epidural, I was going to pass out on them, PRONTO.  
   
 And then then most wonderful man I have ever known entered the room.  He had big-ass needle, but I knew he would make everything better.   😀  
   
 Believe it or not, I still wanted to participate in the birth of my child, so I requested a partial epidural.  
   
 This man knew what he was doing, and when he went to pound that 3.5″ needle through my spine and told me to cough, I was instantly in heaven.  
   
 Whenever in doubt, always cough.  This goes for epidurals, IV’s, catheters, etc.  
   
 And before I knew it, I was having my child.  
   
 My epidural was so weak that when my doctor went to sew me up (I was like a stage 4 episiotomy), I kept saying, “Ow, ow, ow…” and he said, “Oh, you can feel that??”   LOL  
   
 Then he gave me some more shots in my vajayjay, which felt awesome, of course."  
   
 They also hook an IV and catheter up to you when you're having a baby...nothing special about it, just an FYI for ignorant and entitled mongers like you.  

I requested a PARTIAL epidural so that I could still participate in the birthing process (i.e.,pushing) of my child.  And it worked awesome!  Until the end where the pain killer wore off and I could feel everything...including some ripping and the doc starting to sew me up.  
   
 As for the catheter and IV for childbirth...IDK what fucking planet you are on, but no nurse wants to be peed on and every woman needs IV fluids for child birth, so you need to brush up on your procedures, Jose Cuervo.  LOL
