The current print issue has an article about the "possible" unstableness of Paper Money.  I would suggest it as a must read for all boomers.

The Economist has become a pretty liberal publication.

One other noteworthy item, Britain does not have gay marriage, so why should we pay attention to them anyway?

The haave come out (ha ha) for gay marriage!

since they are Time and BusinessWeek all in one for the rest of the English Speaking World, that might be interesting...

Call Bush a proto -reactionary for his stance too.  Great argument.

I lack the skills of the linkmeister to get you the links.

But Check it out- better than our little interchanges- but a lot less cool carnal phraseology.

Sorry dude never use the site and I knew the linkinparkmeister would come through.  Got to give a brother space to strut his stuff.

When I go ballin' the dimes are better than the bombs- and I love the bombs!  Thank you link man for fillin' the lane for another authoritative rim rocker!

in Massachusetts to ban gay marriage.  Also, Barbara Boxer announced a few days ago that she was opposed to gay marriage.  So is your point that George Bush is a right wing extremist?

(I am in favor of gay marriage.  Why not?)

I think gay marriages should be allowed. So far they have been imune from alimony or spousal support, welcome to the world of marriage.

Just another reason to see how awful bush is. I will even put up with some disagreements with my candidate to beat the sphinctre of our society.

Look, Bush and Kerry may agree on some things....but Bush is such a a knee jerk reactionary right winger I wonder if his Buffalo Wings are only from the right side of the chicken.

I am putting gay porn on my website! My silent protest. Hmm....I need models, emeraldvodka and sdstud, what are your hourly fees?

On many of these issues the so called liberal politicians have the same position as the conservative politicians but many of the liberals on this board don't want the facts to get in the way of their opinions.  As you mentioned John Kerry has come out in favor of a constitutional amendment and Barbara Boxer has stated that she is anti gay marriage.  The persecution of this hobby at least in California has been carried out in a large part by liberal democratic politicians at the city and state level.  Bill Clinton is a huge supporter of NAFTA and actually sent Al Gore to debate Ross Perot about NAFTA on national television before NAFTA was passed by the Senate.  I think that may be the only debate that Gore ever won.

is still out on whether it will help or hurt him more in November.  Most Americans do not support legalizing gay marriage, but also do not support the proposed amendment.  He may need to have credibility as a "compassionate conservative" to win.  I know this next concept is difficult for social conservatives to understand, but for most Americans, even those who are opposed to gay marriage, the proposed amendment does not seem compassionate.

Bush energized part of his base, but perhaps at too great a cost.  Only time will tell.
