Sure, one keeps door locked at all times. But key is - "After texting the room number" once provider knows that the entrance is imminent.

Seems as though these days there are plenty of hotels that have doors that cannot be left unlocked - you have to prop them open somehow.

If they're rushing to get ready they might give you the go ahead to come up to the room, but actually aren't quite ready and are counting on the few minutes for you to get there to finish getting ready -- and therefore have the door locked to so you can't come it before they are ready.

Use the key cards now, and those cannot be left unlocked.  The door locks automatically when its closed.  Be honest, are you seeing BP and CL girls at motel 6?  Not judging, just curious because I haven't seen a hotel door without keycard access in about 20 years, and I don't always stay at  5 star properties when I'm traveling on business.

For safety I keep my door locked and closed even though i gave the room number out and i know my date is coming up sometimes guest at hotels get lost and try to come in or put their key in your door. Its happened to me several times and i've also been the one after drinking too much going to the wrong door lol also what if the unfortunate happens and LE is in the hall going after another guest . to avoid any issues i keep door closed and locked

in lingerie with lube on the nightstand, would YOU leave the door ajar.  I wouldn't, but then again, I don't wear lingerie.  Just seems like an unnecessary risk.  Most of the hotels that have keycard access also have a peep hole to see who's standing there.  

LOL.    Once the gent has called I know about how much time I have until he arrives.  I use a plastic card, like the ones they put on the beds for the maid information, and open the door - insert the card so the lock won't engage.   It is fabulous!  Clients can walk right in...

At an incall I don't leave my front door propped open for anyone to just walk it, it's common sense- privacy, the last line of defense before seeing a client, comfort, etc.

Yup. A lady did that very thing with me earlier this year. When she texted me the room # she said don't knock, just come in and pick up the paper that falls when you do. Worked great.  Glad to say I wasn't "that guy" who knocked anyway. LoL.

If it's a hotel, they are made to lock automatically. I would never prop open the door for someone's convenience when anyone could walk in.

The first provider I saw explained this to me and stated that I should jiggle the door, ie, try to open it without a key, so that it makes a noise, but not knock on the door, because, as you say, who knocks on a hotel room door? This still sends the provider a signal "I'm here" but is more subtle than a knock.

but since she's expecting you... she gave you the room number not 2 minutes ago...  I don't know why the gal is not ready by the door.  
If I am staying in a hotel & my companion is in the room, I'd likely give a gentle knock.  Even if the door was ajar... I'd knock gently or otherwise announce myself.  Asside from setting the door on the safety bar...  what choices are there.  

Even I, as a POP (Person of Pallor), have occasionally felt a little more noticed than I really wanted to be. I have no doubt you get more of that.

If I know a friend is on the way up I may leave the door ajar. Particularly if I'm dressed and we're heading out and about before retiring bcd. And I usually have my lube in a drawer when someone first enters my room. And of COURSE I know about peepholes...sigh. It's worked just fine for me so far.

I dress in a full outfit, I don't answer the door in lingerie, even for regulars. So I can do this.

I don't think it's pop psychology, but it is how we were raised. I grew-up out in the country. While our front door was generally unlocked, there was a shotgun propped around the corner along with loaded Marlin lever-actions in most rooms in the house. We also had a very well-trained German Shepherd -- so only a foolish stranger would have walked-in unannounced.  

Afterall, they just don't know who's behind the door, and that's probably just their way of maintaining some sense of security and control of the situation. Maybe it's a false sense of safety when you consider that anything can happen once she lets you in, but then again, you just don't know what might have happened in her past that made her feel apprehensive about leaving her personal space vulnerable, even for 1 sec. And even if it's not your first time with her, she still has to consider the risk of being targeted by LE, robbers, rapists, irate customers who left and came back, and angry husbands who are still in shock from freshly uncovering her secret career. So don't take it personally because she's probably not doing it out of spite.

People are so paranoid sometimes.

Could be,,, but in my case, as I've mentioned before, i'm the only one knocking,,,, have never seen the kind of scenario you outlined while visiting a provider.

I'm thinking she might have forgotten to unlock the door (hotel room doors lock when closed, as I'm sure you know) or is just super safe and keeps it locked in case housekeeping (or anyone else) comes by and sees it open. If you prefer the door to be unlocked, ask her politely to leave it open.

You are taking this POC shit too fucking seriously. If you had a buddy staying in a hotel and were there to pick him up for drinks would you give even a single fuck if housekeeping saw you knock of his door? If you were staying at a hotel with your GF and left your key in the room would you be worried about someone seeing you knock at your own door?

Twice in 3 weeks, I experienced hotel staff peeking back in at me in the corridor while I was knocking. They were on their way to the hallway perpendicular to me and for them to come back, peek and stare was not comforting. That is what made me realize the difference between open and locked doors and why some experienced providers had explicitly asked me not to knock but come right in.

I don't give a fuck what hotel staff thinks as I am in and out of hotels all the time, both for regular and monkey business. Like I said before, if you were NOT there to see a hooker and instead were knocking on your buddy's or co workers door, would you really be aware of any kind of "stare", of course not. You only notice because of your guilty conscience.

1. There could be several other providers on the same floor. A client from another provider on the floor could be given wrong room number (that has happened to me before).

The whole point of a "no knock" policy is to attract as LITTLE attention as possible, especially for a high volume girl.
