Pfizer and insurance companies more than likely have prevented that from being true.
Au contraire, there is considerable evidence going back many years and continuing to this day that ED pills from China and India are often illegally spiked with varying amounts of sildenafil. See a recent thread:

Pfizer would like it stopped. It is illegal because (1) it violates patents and (2) it is false advertising to claim to be all natural and not to list the illegal, unnatural ingredients.
Here's another recent story: http://www.medicaldaily.com/sex-supplements-contain-viagra-and-cialis-ingredients-pfizer-study-confirms-fda-reports-245717
When they catch and shut down one brand, the factories in China just change the name and the packaging and send another batch.
WARNING: The amounts of sildenafil can vary quite a bit, so you don't really know what you're taking, dosewise. Don't pop extra pills to speed things up or make things last longer. You could die.
On the other hand...and a more healthy, cost effective and more widely available alternative, watermelon...yes, watermelon, has some attributes that possibly can help. At least there is that rumor. Seriously.
There was also a recent watermelon thread.

You might want to read the warnings and contraindications, first.
