I was reading a post that implied shilling is allowed on Fridays. I wanted more info so I could see if it's the review tool I've been wishing for... a way to get the word out while there's time to make a difference. In the process of looking for info, I noticed the site map, went there, and got completely sidetracked (still am) by "Mini Review Guidelines."

Each of the reviews I've submitted, 4 in print, 1 in the hopper, have been girls I wanted to provide exposure for before they moved on. I've felt the need to bug the review approvers a couple of times close to the 72-hr mark. As I said, all I wanted to do was get the word out while there was time to make a difference.

My question is, have I found the solution in the mini-review? I'm asking because I don't see it used. I'd be using it on the my local forum as a temp for just about every full review I submit. So, mini reviews?

(ok, back to looking for info on shilling)

EDIT  Well, for once I'm glad my message board posts sit around for a while before going live: I can't find anything on "shilling" either. The post I read said something about shilling of Fridays. It's Friday. Is this an official policy, and if so, where can I find it. If not official policy, what's the scoop on it?

Anybody? As I said, I have the instructions for use of mini-reviews, I'm only looking for practical experience with them.

As for posting a shill, it'll be Friday tomorrow 😐😨 Just point me in the right direction, I can't find anything on it. Thanks.

You're looking for Friday Shill Day. My take on that is that it's a slightly relaxed mini review option. In other words, you do get to spread the word about a provider you like and think others will also enjoy seeing but you are not expected to submit a formal review within some time limit (forget exactly what the mini review grace period is. 72 hours????).

Yes, mini review will allow you to spread the word about a provider -- can be good or bad experience -- while you're waiting for your review to be published.

Grazie, grazie. Stupendo. Favoloso! That was pretty much what I was looking for. Molto bene! It was perfecto. I think I can see how I glossed over that material when I looked at it not too long ago. It was just too specific about something that clearly wasn't going to help me stay out of trouble when I compose an every day new thread or reply. But I wish I'd at least have remembered that it was there that the info was buried that I was looking for.

I am a bit wary of a bit of the shill rules, though. Rather than get you all, or all one of you, to weigh in, I'm going to read it to mean what it did when I first read it, and let the chips fall where they may. It's one of those "the bear eats shoots, and leaves," sentences where that lack of punctuation and weird formatting leaves it open to interpretation.

However, the penalty sound pretty clear, and it's death MF!

"Violators of this policy will lose their message posting privileges." Wow. Like, forever? I think I'll give it another read. LOL.

Anyways, back to profusive praise of Jensen, my sole respondent! Thanks, bud, that helped.

HTH

I would not worry too much about getting your posting privileges removed for posting positive comments about a provider you've seen and think others will enjoy seeing as well. If you stay in that territory -- it's a benefit to the larger group here and to the girl -- you'll be fine. Check out some of the old threads on the K-Girl board. You can probably find something searching for Friday Shill (have not tried).

If you're coming across as purely promoting the girl, perhaps one with no reviews here and/or of questionable status you'll probably get grief from various people on the forum (while no rules about it I don't think I'd not post to the General Board but to the relevant regional board or a specialty board like K-Girls) and perhaps a warning from the admins.

My 2 cent, which may or may not be worth a wooden nickle.
