Are you saying that you saw an alias with the envelope?  How did you know it was an alias as opposed to a regular handle?

Or conversely, did you see a regular handle without the envelope?  Be careful in those cases because it is possible to create an alias that seems to be somebody's regular handle but has a little period or other punctuation mark inserted which is easy to miss, or the spelling could have been changed subtly.

I use aliases for about 20% of my posts.

Sometimes, especially lately with me realizing people have this INCORRECT view of aliases, I have actually put my regular handle inside my alias posts.

The way I see it the term alias AS USED on this board is any name other than the one on your TER birth certificate.
For the purpose of this board The name on your TER birth certificate is your "real name" (so to speak) and any other name you use is an alias
As for me, I suppose,technically,  you could say I  have numerous aliases, however since the Followme family is so large I allow my cousins and other family menbers to sign on using my TER log in name then go to their names such as
