Let's say one decides to try the "dinner date" thing.  Typically, does the same rate apply during dinner that applies **after** dinner, despite dinner being a strictly hands off affair?  I'm not sure that makes sense, but don't want to make anyone feel insulted/offended.  If you've been down that road, what was your experience?  Is there any sort of industry standard or does it vary depending on the person?

Yes, I'll pick up the check almost all the time, except on my b-day and at the holidays. I don't pay to watch a hooker eat or sleep or read or cook or shop or sew.

arm touching, you get the picture. So dinner with me doesn't have to be totally hands off, lol. Most ladies I know have dinner date packages. Check with the lady you are interested in.

Those who are more cerebral tend to like this kind of engagement- they need and desire stimulation in ways more subtle and sensual than a quick hour in a room. It's a whole experience- definitely something to do if that appeals. Many people like the feeling of being with one of the most beautiful women in the restaurant, with all eyes enviously on him. If she can hold her own in a conversation, so much the better.  

I have to agree with Alyson on this one JD. If she is no longer getting some tribute for her company, and she starts handling business on her phone. U don't have to explain what your reaction would be. I'm sure you would just wanna leave or maybe "split the bill".

What a hooker says on this board and how she handles her affairs bcd can be VERY different. You'll have to trust me.

The OP asked what was other's experiences here and I gave her mine. If you are too scared to ask a hooker for some OTC dinner time, get a dog.  

And I have retained the respect and full freight from all my clients.

where a provider will have a "dinner date" option where they will have dinner and a night out (usually 2-3 hours) followed by 2 hours of private time for not much more than the 2 hour private time rate.  I would do this if it was available in my area.

Guys with $ really don't engage in one hour rush jobs.

What I do with a guy depends on the situation.  I do have a dinner date package and if he wants to pay to watch me eat, that's fine.  But I met more than a few guys who are just cool and, under the right circumstances, I'll be happy to join for dinner OTC.  Here are my rules:
1) I don't have any more dates that day.  Gotta earn a living, y'know.
2) I've got to really like you.  IOW, you treated me right in every way.  You were not just clean, respectful and brought a full envelope.  You were also good looking, made me laugh and were more than adequate in the sheets. This makes you quite different from some of the socially-inept morons I get paid to fuck.
3) I was hungry.
That's it!  I would say about 10 percent of the guys I see fill the bill.  But I love that 10 percent and am happy to have some OTC time with them.  Once I even bought the guy dinner.  He fit the description above, took me to a museum, gave me a great lecture on modern art and even bought me a book in the museum store.  It wasn't a fancy meal but I really wanted to do something to say thanks.  He loved it.  And it wasn't Mr. Dunphy either.   We're not from the same turf.
