Looking at the Tampa, Ft Meyer, Miami (3), NOLA, etc cases, it's

been some of both.
And, a great many busts and stings never hit the news.

Ft Meyer hit the agency and the girls, and turned a few girls on the agency.
Tampa TBD got TBD, girls, and maybe hobbyists too.
Miami Circuit got agency and girls. Escort-Lovelies was agency.
FE was agency.
NOLA was bordello owners and on to the rest of the Circuit.
NOVA was an indy.An earlier NOVA was an agency incall spa.
NC has been some of both.
StL was an indy, recently, but agencies have been hassled.
Toledo was agency.
Chicago has been indys and visiting agency girls.

They hit the agencies with bigger charges such as racketeering, Mann & Travel Act, conspiracy.

The adult entertainment lawyers right now are worried about some of those huge blockbuster cases the FBI likes with 100+ defendants and vast sweeping conspiracies.
That could cause some major havoc.

So much depends upon priorities and happenstance, and records.
If records are hard to find, an agency can slip away sometimes.
TBD was a case where every kind of record was right there. E-mails in US, CC's, server in Florida, local banking, even Pay Pal turned over a CD ROM of records.

It's gonna be interesting. Maybe nothing will happen at all.

if a provider is with an agency and has excellent reviews, should she go indy? why or why not?

The Agency would like it. Independence means working dman hard carrying all the overhead, along with the hassles that go along with managing a small business.

An Agency handles everything from transportation to screening to represnetation if s*it happens.

An independent needs to line up all this ahead of time and be together enough when the s*hit hits the fan to follow the plan.

Very complex business.

pandering is the more serious offense so they go after the agency.  They will also go after the agency girl in hopes she will assist in getting the agency owners.

Interesting question. I always thought that you were alot safer seeing an independent provider with a stellar reputation. More likely to be under the rader screen. The other big difference is most of the top independent providers I know stick mainly to cash transactions, which leaves no paper trail. Agencies accept credit cards and tend to have more files on clients.  I could be wrong but this is my perception.

I think a girl after being with a agency goes indy is great..
The agency helped her know the ins and outs of the business..
I just wish her the best and hopes she does well...

Smooches..
