Picking up on the first 10/10 thread of the new year a few days ago, I thought I would share an interesting twist.  No doubt there are some providers out there trying to manipulate the system to keep their numbers inflated.  I recently had a situation that went the other way.    
 
I had a great experience with a gorgeous new provider I had just met.  When I said I would be happy to write a review, she was very interested to know what my scores would be and specifically did not want a 10/10.  That is right, you heard me, she did not want a 10/10.  Now, I have yet to hand one out, in this case a 9/9 is a no brainer, and darn close to a 10/10 in my book.  However, she seems to be a bit lower volume, didn't want her phone or email lighting up like crazy, and (I think most importantly) didn't want new clients to have unrealistic expectations.   On that note (and I am not looking to stir the pot further here or start another thread), she mentioned some guys seem to think that if a provider got a 10/10 there are other 'of the menu items' being offered...
 
So who knows, maybe 9/9 is the new 10/10...  
 
Thoughts

Just like men, some women are downright ugly. You can try to sugarcoat it all you like, but those are just the facts. Men have been rating women on a 1-10 scale for as long as men could count from 1-10.  That's not ever going to change.

I will agree that the numerical scores as they are used here on TER are virtually useless. between scoring manipulation on the part of SOME women and the lack of any kind of standards by SOME men. I have to agree with the bottom line that the numerical scores aren't much help in making a decision on who to see.  I still maintain the most useful part of any review, at least where it comes to appearance is "are the pictures accurate?" As long as the reviewer is honest about that part of the review, that's good enough for me.

There is no question review readers wonder how she got those 10/10s.  Given the way different reviewers understand the grading scale it's appropriate to look at those scores with more than a grain of salt.  If I see a few 10/10s I just assume it's manginas over-grading.  If I see nothing but 10/10s I'm very suspicious and more likely to avoid her.
So perhaps your new provider is right.
Another reason is some gals are so protective of their turf and their place in the rankings they will go after a gal who looks like she may threaten her standing.

There have been a couple of times I've come close to the magic 10, but what happens if you think you've found perfection, and 6 months later someone far exceeds it?
At least with a 9/9, if you go back and the second or fifth time exceeds the first one, then that's great.  However, you don't get to re-grade.  
And according to the rules, a provider has to be willing to do certain activities to warrant the magic 10, so they are automatically ineligible for the 10 score.  
Fascinating concept and I'm looking forward to the opinions.

that she could or did not give you her very best but just that some people always think they can do even better because they are trying to push themselves. It is probably for the reasons she gave you but if it is partly for the latter then I admire her for that.

I've only done that once over the years...and when you write the new one the old one is taken off her page.  So if you want to give her that 10/10 for reasons you state...go right ahead and feel free to do that.

Listen ALL women here are beautiful in some form or fashion. And ALL offer something unique. If you guys can't figure out in a 'writeup' by your fellow gentlemen friends in this community if she's the kind of woman you want to spend time with, then I guess I feel sorry for you. You are grown men, figure it out. Two lil #'s shouldn't be godforesaken end factor of where you're mind and dick end up one evening. Come on.

ALL women are NOT beautiful....not by a long shot.  Some are, as GaG pointed out, downright ugly.  The reflection in a mirror is not indicative of beauty...as far too often when a woman opens her mouth she goes from "that hot broad I'd like to fuck" to someone that I can't get far enough away from fast enough.

I am darn glad I am going to be seeing her again pretty soon.  Who knows, maybe she will give me her BEST performance over the next few dates..

Because my idea of beauty may not be the same as someone else's.  But the performance score serves a very useful purpose:  I don't have the time or inclination to read 20 or 30 reviews on a provider, but I'll certainly pay attention to multiple low ratings, and all 10s make me suspicious (no one is all things to all people) and I'm going to maybe send some PMs before I move forward, etc.  So while I don't use the performance ratings as a yardstick against which to measure my experience and I I try to look at all available info in totality, they are a useful tool.

It's all subjective, so that means I can use large numbers, small numbers, whole numbers, fractional numbers, irrational numbers, or imaginary numbers!!

some of those 'ugly' women you two are talking about are getting reviews so gentlemen are seeing them. They have a niche like anyone here. And yes, they are beautiful. Never said, the 'mirror' was indicative of anything especially 'beauty', don't put words in my mouth this evening. 'Beautiful' is a broad term I use to describe many things in this world and not in the 'dictionary' form.....in that all women are beautiful offering their 'own' thing......it is interesting that you two apparently took it as your 'mirror' analogy however.......isn't that interesting.

Scanning a post and then replying to it with some nonsense that had nothing to do with that post is a problem.  And you do seem to have a propensity for doing this.

My ex's cousin's daughter is (or at least was) really, really, really hot. At a family gathering I got into a conversation with her, if you want to call it that. I've never met anyone as dumb in my life. I couldn't wait to get away from her. No number of 10's could make me pay to be with her.

We beat the crap out of each other on this and other topics but when it comes right down to it none of us is leaving this recreation behind any time soon are we?  If anyone has another shorthand way to help participants understand whether a woman is generally attractive I'm sure we'd all be ears.  Until then, this is the best we have.  It's sort of like democracy--it's the absolute worst form of governance, except for all the others.

Correct me if I am wrong, but back in the 70's-80's we were promised that if we did acid, sometime 20+ years later we would get a "flashback"  which would be a similar "trip" just like the first one, but without having to do any more acid to get this second "trip".
