I'm a relative newbie, but I have been reading this Board frequently for several months. I do not recall ever seeing MP67 seriously threaten anyone with violence. (I don't regard a threat on the internet to someone you don't know and probably can't find particularly serious.) Moreover, I have not heard of MP67 ever actually doing anything bad (violence, outing, whatever) to anyone. If I am wrong, and people are actually and reasonably afraid of having something hurt besides their feelings, then Admin probably should do something. Or if MP67 writes so much that he is causing servers to crash or whatever. But that's not my impression.
Is MP67 sometimes funny, interesting, enlightening, rude, offensive, obscene, self-absorbed, entertaining, irrelevant and (presumably) drunk? Yes, to all of the above. So what? So are a number of other people who post on this Board.
I personally enjoy reading most of his posts (but, then again, I haven't pissed him off yet). If I were his Mother or even a close friend, I would probably worry about him. But I'm not. As someone said above, if you can't stand him, skip the post. It's not like he bothers to use aliases (at least I don't think so).
In short, lighten up. For the guys, at least, this is called a "hobby"; the ladies have reason to take what is said on the Board more seriously. I do believe everyone has the right to express/voice their opinions, but not at the expense or detriment of others.

In Conclusion, I apologize for responding to your thread Mike and really mulled it over and over whether to do so. So I am here really because we have had some incidents. So part of the reason *I am* responding is we have some history. Not like you and mrfisher because he has met you.

And I will confess her that I responded to you with my own story of being a drunk and what it cost me in life. My career, my wife and kids, housing and other things we all take for granite. However, 30 years ago I woke up looked in the mirror and was shocked. Horrified actually as to what I had become. Yeah I got out of the hole I was in made it big in my own business again and turned it around. Many are not that lucky. When I responded with that, which was much longer than this mini-confession, I never heard back from you. Not a peep. That said a world of information about you. Look, you will reach bottom one day, but you have to do it all on your own terms. I hope you do well.

I consider MP67 my friend. While I have never met him I have talked to him on the phone. He has helped me with some issues I have had and found him to be an OK person and a friend. Does he have some issues? Yes, but who does not. Is he vulgar? Yes, but many people think this hobby and the people in it are vulgar and from their point of view they are right. I have heard worse things than his post. Has he crossed the line? Maybe, but I feel I have crossed the line my self in one instance. Does he deserved to be banned? No. I enjoy reading many of his posts and yes there have been times I feel he may have gone to far. He calls things like he sees them and as often as not I agree with him. Not that I would express myself the way he does but his opinion is often insightful if you look beyond his language. I truly believe him when he says, "I don't mean any harm." It just how he is.
