I have kids, that's a total mood killer for me.

1. I think to myself, why are you here with me and not your kids.

Even if they are with granny you are their mother no one else is.

2. Now I think you are playing me for a sap, and trying to get more money out of me.

You aren't my GF I don't care about your kids.

That would be like a raisin or a prune talking to me. That's just creepy.

You could still get a BJ.

... but talking about her kids isn't one of them. I view such comments that she feels safe and comfortable enough with me to share some info about her private life.

My ATF has kids and her SO has kids. We've known each other for years and often we talk about what's going on in our lives while we're catching our breaths, and our kids are part of that.  And recently I met a provider who's just a few years younger than I am, and at one point she volunteered that her daughter was getting married soon, and it turns out her two kids are the same ages as two of my kids.  It was a nice way to break the ice.

It's not about providers being my girlfriends... at least not beyond the "GFE" thing that's part of p4p.  It's about relating to these ladies as fellow human beings, who have much more going on in their lives than their providing jobs.

And how do you know it's not BS.

The way you talk guys don't usually treat providers as human beings.

I will also say I don't think it's healthy to have long term paid relationships. Despite what people say, people will genuinely want more, as they invest more.

As sappy as you sound you could be one of those guys.

... I've seen photos of the kids.

And you crack me up, telling me what you think is a healthy relationship... despite knowing almost nothing about it, or the two people involved.  BS indeed, from a master of BS.

They could be my kids. How would you know whose kids they are?

She might be good and tell you everything you want to hear. It's not like you are going to question it.

I normally never talk to a client about anything personal unless they want to divulge their private info. With that said the client doesn't want to hear a providers personal problems as they come to enjoy time together and get away from the normal day to day life.

As I was reading I was wondering what your reaction would have been to "My daughter is getting married on the Xth with the ceremonies held at Y" and both X and Y matched exactly what your son's wedding plans were.
