Not with a wife or a SO lol.  Im single and she would tag along as a friend.  Im going to a tropical island with my parents and siblings and their spouses.  So she would be interacting with my family and I truly feel comfortable with this girl.

She has already been to my hometown, so I know we can get along for a few days together.  We are close to the same age, so nothing would really be out of the ordinary other than she looks like she is out of my league.  But my family needs to know that we are just good friends.

Would any of you consider doing this?  Is it too risky?

She likes the idea and doesn't seem to mind going with me and my family.  

Maybe Im crazy for even considering this.  I would just like your thoughts.

You're going to have to keep your hands off her, for the most part.  You're going to have to watch everything you say and do in the presence of others.  You're going to be paying for her time, while she gets dragged by the other women to go shopping or something else.  Of course, that assumes the other women don't resent her being there because she's attractive and looks good in a bikini, while they look like over-the-hill housewives or mothers.  I've seen that dynamic in action and believe me, it's not pretty.

And then, as others have said, even if it goes well you'll have all the questions to answer for the next year.  

I'd much rather take her somewhere nice when you return and can actually have some fun and be yourselves.  To me, that would be a real vacation, whereas what you've described sounds like a potentially awkward situation.

For a guy in his early 20s to bring a "Pro" to a family vacation is sad.

There have been lots of great points made for both the pros & the cons for both you & this Provider.  But in my opinion & as such stated, every situation is unique, complete with its own side-effects.  Each time we take a risk, we can only propose the outcome without hindsight, hence life.  So here's how I would handle it:  if she's really that awesomely worth it, take the chance (if this so turns out as the case...) or you'll never know the worth of an outcome that was ardently unforgettable, & the feeling of superiority when everyone else said you'd fail.  This is despite the fact that one should generally keep these two worlds separate for obvious reasons.  However, if there is a shred of doubt in your mind that anything negative, minute or epic, would endanger that which is important to you (family's view, the 3rd degree, deception probabilities, her mental comfort), & only you knows the general interaction demeanor of your family, then I would say to you, "Don't do it!  There are likely plenty of Piranha in that tropical sea!"   Each & every one of our lives are distinctly diverse from any other.  I would write a list of probable cons, a list of probable pros, then compare the two & see which outweighs the other. The difference between choice & opportunity are the benefits.  Regarding your specific situation, aside from anyone else's opinion, would taking this girl be a worthwhile opportunity for you, or just a matter of choice?

I'm just doing my weekly catch up on past threads I have missed and just wanted to comment. I am  the oldest and I have two brothers. I have never cared about who they date. I'm not a social person in general. I have met plenty of my brother's girl friend and the most I've said to them is Hi (which actually tends to cause more issues with the gf because she then assumes I don't like her. Not true at all, I just don't see the need to hold a conversation unnecessarily).

I don't think all women (be they sisters or mothers, aunts or grandmothers) are "mother hens" and want to even spend time with the "girl friend". I know I would loathe going on a shopping trip with some random female, though I don't really like shopping anyway, so that could be me.

On the other hand, if his family is the type to ask waaaay too many questions, then your advice is definitely warranted because I think it would probably cause drama and wouldn't be enjoyable for the hobbyist or provider.
