The thing that perplexes me most about escorts is that even though  they have little or no idea of what aclient will look like before he arrives, this is not a major concern.

A client might turn out to have rolls of flab, nearly as skinny as a just released POW, pale and wizened with skin  distended like a stretched out sack, or just not physically agreeable, let alone physically attractive. But this never seems to be a great concern, not like poor groominn or poor hygene are.

Are women in general less affected by the visual then are men? Why do they seem less turned off by a man's less than attractive appearance than a man of a woman's? Or do they merely suppress their displeasure for the sake of their fee?


As a man the thought of having sex with ANY woman who came along is distasteful, yes, even frightening, no matter how hygienic and well scrubbed. Obviously, this is a common male trait, else there would be lessfuss about an escorts photos, but only her skills.

So how do you gals do it? Close your eyes and accept the homely as a penance? Pray that rain quickly  come? Oris it that appearance alone is not that affecting one way or another. Please enlighten.

I have often wished men were more accepting of a woman's appearance as we are of them; and it is one difference that has made me sad over the years.

I know, if I were still married, that watching my 'husband' from across the room, dozing in the chair, and seeing him for exactly as he is - thinning hair, a widening waistline, etc. does not alter how you feel. There's that unconditional love and nurturing that sees them still the way they were when you met; or sees them as 'seasoned' and better. I'm thankful for that.

And it's a bit of that that transfers to your clients. It's about 'them'. Being able to want them to be happy, satisfied, nurtured, comfortable; and grateful always..because they've chosen you to provide that.
Some times are easier than others. And to the sweet, gentle man who appreciates it - well, you want to give him the moon!

This is a interesting question that I've actually thought about alot lately
before i started in this business I was extremely picky and superficial on the type of men I would see
When I first started I even strictly required a picture from every client (i still like getting them but not as strict about it) before I'd approve the request.
But after seeing a a few clients who previously I would have thought to be "not my type" but yet they rocked my world sexually, i decided that "hmm maybe looks don't matter after all".

Yes to me the most important thing is hygiene, oh and I do have a thing about nice teeth. A guy with a  beautiful smile is such a turn on for me. Everything else could be going downhill but if he has a nice smile and fresh breath, i'm all over him.

Most ugly women get married, so men are not quite as shallow as we are often made out to be.  However, we are not visiting a provider for romance, but rather for a fantasy fulfillment.  We all dream, and our dreams are always looking for the best.  Do you dream of a vacation to a hovel next to a garbage dump?  No you dream about a hotel on the Riviera.  Same with men, when we fantasy about the “lady of our dreams”, she is a looker!   The catch is of course that every man defines “looker” differently.

I understand your thoughts Sedona, but that "unconditional love" is developed over time and experiences made together.  What happens when you open the door and see the same features on a total stranger who says he was to french kiss and go down on you? Some of it has to do with just being polite for the sake of the fee, does it not?

The article was about the growing social and legal backlash by divorced fathers who find out that they're not the biological father of the children they're forced by state laws to support, a topic of significant interest all on it's own... but a section of the article discussed the sociological and anthropological pressures that lead women to stray, and it detailed some interesting findings on the subject HowAndWhy raises.

Per the article, men are in general much more "visual" creatures, significantly more likely to treat overall physical appearance as a major sorting criteria in choosing a mate (whether for a night or a lifetime) and this tendency stays more or less constant throughout their life.  Women, on the other hand, tend to treat overall physical appearance as less important than "emotional" criteria such as whether the guy has a good personality, treats them well, can financially support them, etc.... EXCEPT when they're ovulating!  During that "peak" time in the middle of their cycle, women tend to shift gears and seak out the best physical specimen with which to make a baby, rather than the "supportive" male they want the rest of the month.  This shift varies in strength from woman to woman, but in a significant percentage of women it can be strong enough to override religous, moral and social pressures to the contrary... add in a wife tired of, frustrated with or mad at the hubby for whatever reason, and it's not surprizing that the advent of easy and reliable paternity testing has flushed out a huge number of "not my child" cases across the country.  Hell, what's surprizing is that there aren't more cases!

Anyway, it seems that there's more to the old "men want physical beauty while women don't" than we've been led to believe all these years...
