I had it, briefly, over 18 years ago..

Probably from grinding teeth when sleeping. Man did it hurt when my jaw felt like a rubberband snapped all of a sudden. Pain for weeks...

Some of you folks are sooooo serious. Yeesh!

Licking poonani does not 'cause TMJD. In my case I typically induce an acute case of erotic asphyxiation from the vice-like head clamp!

I'm thinking of sticking oversized straws up my nostrils for that occasion...

i guess that the OP claims to have been so heroic in his efforts that he developed a case of TMJD (see the attached link).

whether one develops TMJD as a result of a session may depend on whether you are a "power player" or whether you have "finesse".

There's no reason that the jaw should get over stressed during DATY.

What happens to me however, is that I get a pinched nerve in my neck from the angle the head needs to be at to get proper access.

I had to see a doctor for it and I told him how it happened and he said to knock it off.  I said NFW!

So now, I do it the smart way.  Kneel on the floor (on pillows) at the side of the bed while she lies down with her legs over the side.  The angle works out perfectly and no more pain in the neck.

The only other part of the body that gets somewhat stressed is the tongue, but in time you get used to that; plus you can entertain people at the pub by showing how you can lift chairs with you tongue!
