i guess that the OP claims to have been so heroic in his efforts that he developed a case of TMJD (see the attached link).

whether one develops TMJD as a result of a session may depend on whether you are a "power player" or whether you have "finesse".

There's no reason that the jaw should get over stressed during DATY.

What happens to me however, is that I get a pinched nerve in my neck from the angle the head needs to be at to get proper access.
