Going to San Diego for convention, which are the best strip clubs in San Diego. I don't have a car, so it has to be one near the centre of SD (taxi is fine).

The best ones are quite a way from downtown - Cheetahs on Clairemont Mesa Blvd and Expose on Miramar Blvd. The only one kind of downtown is Pure Platnum and it is a dive. In the Midway area (maybe 5-7 miles from downtown) there is Pacers, a nice topless club (with alcohol) and The Body Shop, probably the highest mileage in town but you pay for it. What the hell, get some buddies together and take a cab to Cheetahs - look for Isella!

Why waste your pesos there when you could have the real thing for a whole ot lot less.

I second the recommendation on going to Cheetah's or Club Expose. They usually have more dancers and more attractive dancers than the other clubs. I usually get higher mileage dances there than at the other clubs. They also only charge $10/lapdance. Cheetah's cover charge is $10 plus $8 for two drinks. The cover charge will cover your admission for a year. Club Expose is the same, $10+$8, good for a year.

However, the Midway area is closest to downtown. There's Pacer's, Pure Platinum, Deja Vu (Midway), The Body Shop, and Les Girls.

Pacer's and Pure Platinum are topless only, which means they serve alcohol. I much prefer Pacer's. Very hot bartenders, and some of them are dancers too. Cover charge is $10, which gets you in for a year. Lapdances are $15. Pure Platnium is $8 cover and lapdances are $20. Dances at both of these places are pretty tame.

Les Girls, The Body Shop, and Deja Vu (Midway) are full nude, which means no alcohol. Les Girls is an absolute dump. It was formerly an adult theater, so it's a bunch of schoolchairs facing a stage. There's also some private rooms so you can get 1-on-1 dances. However, there is no reason to ever go to Les Girls. The Body Shop's cover is $10 and $9 for two drinks. Lapdances are $15 per. The highest mileage in San Diego, but the quality of the women is mixed. Deja Vu is well... a Deja Vu, blue light specials and all. Cover is $7 and unlimited drinks are $9. Lapdances are $20. As far as I know, Deja Vu (Midway) is the only club in the San Diego area in which you do not have to fork over a tip to every dancer, no matter how close or far away you are. You're only asked to tip if you're sitting at the tip rail. So, if you're looking to kill time, Deja Vu is a good bet.

If you're going to Pacer's or Deja Vu, go to dejavu.com and get a free pass. If you're going to Club Expose, go to clubexpose.net and get a free pass. In other case, you'll still pay the drink fee.

The idea of getting all worked up and having no outlet just baffles me.  Last week I went to TJ, hung with a few girls at Mexico Lindo, actually fucked the bartender in the back room (that was a nice surprise!) then had some lunch, went to Adelitas and found a Reese Witherspoon lookalike named Claudia, had an amazing (though somewhat rushed) session with her smoking little 20 year old shaved body, and had a nice walk back to the border at sunset.  I think I spent under 150 including all the drinks, lunch, and tips for the bartender and the cute blonde.

Watching topless chicks in bikinis with pantyhose under them just leaves me cold.

By the way, you can get there by SD Trolley from downtown.  Don't need a car.  And it's VERY safe in the daytime.
