I second the recommendation on going to Cheetah's or Club Expose. They usually have more dancers and more attractive dancers than the other clubs. I usually get higher mileage dances there than at the other clubs. They also only charge $10/lapdance. Cheetah's cover charge is $10 plus $8 for two drinks. The cover charge will cover your admission for a year. Club Expose is the same, $10+$8, good for a year.

However, the Midway area is closest to downtown. There's Pacer's, Pure Platinum, Deja Vu (Midway), The Body Shop, and Les Girls.

Pacer's and Pure Platinum are topless only, which means they serve alcohol. I much prefer Pacer's. Very hot bartenders, and some of them are dancers too. Cover charge is $10, which gets you in for a year. Lapdances are $15. Pure Platnium is $8 cover and lapdances are $20. Dances at both of these places are pretty tame.

Les Girls, The Body Shop, and Deja Vu (Midway) are full nude, which means no alcohol. Les Girls is an absolute dump. It was formerly an adult theater, so it's a bunch of schoolchairs facing a stage. There's also some private rooms so you can get 1-on-1 dances. However, there is no reason to ever go to Les Girls. The Body Shop's cover is $10 and $9 for two drinks. Lapdances are $15 per. The highest mileage in San Diego, but the quality of the women is mixed. Deja Vu is well... a Deja Vu, blue light specials and all. Cover is $7 and unlimited drinks are $9. Lapdances are $20. As far as I know, Deja Vu (Midway) is the only club in the San Diego area in which you do not have to fork over a tip to every dancer, no matter how close or far away you are. You're only asked to tip if you're sitting at the tip rail. So, if you're looking to kill time, Deja Vu is a good bet.

If you're going to Pacer's or Deja Vu, go to dejavu.com and get a free pass. If you're going to Club Expose, go to clubexpose.net and get a free pass. In other case, you'll still pay the drink fee.
