In figuring out the numbers of what it costs to run your own production (your own website, let's just say) you also have to figure in the cost of marketing.....

The web world of porn and the DVD world of porn is VERY competitive. It's not just a case of you build it (a website) and they'll come - or you shoot it and they'll buy YOUR DVD. Marketing is what makes you rise above.

On the web, it's Search Engine Optimization and Search Engine Marketing. For DVDs it's print marketing, package design, tradeshow marketing materials. And there's plenty of integrated overlap. Bottom line, If you want to run your own game in the biz you gotta pay to play.

Just thought I'd add that little bit of insight.

For less than $600 on a bg scene if you do same day cash..And of course have them come make up ready and done within 90 minutes..

There are some well known ladies that are shooting for less than $600 for bg scenes..Even less at the end of the month when they have their rent due!
