Spencer, a Trump spokesman said: “President-elect Trump has continued to denounce racism of any kind and he [got] elected because he will be a leader for every American.”
Instead of specifically naming Spencer and the alt-right, Trump broadly denounced racism in a mealy mouthed way so as not to offend Steve Bannon, the champion of Spencer and the alt-right.
