What you state is my biggest pet peeve here. Except in very rare cases, people are not interested in honest debate. Posters here, on both sides, often make excellent points and more times then not they are immediately met with numerous ad hominem attacks. I try not to be super bipartisan but I don't always succeed. I can do better and will try. I hope others would follow but I won't tell others how to post so it's a dilemma.

There is an exception, and that would be Respectful Robert. Very possible to have rational and intelligent  conversations with him.

Great points---ALL of us can improve and be more open-minded/less partisan! It's tough to do these days with emotions running as high as they are but somehow we have to at least TRY to find some form of common ground.

And it consisted of lying about the election being stolen, pressuring state officials to manufacture votes as in "I need you to find me 11,780 votes", pressuring state officials to ignore the will of the voters and select trump electors in states won by Biden,  fraudulently creating alternate slates of electors in 7 states, pressuring the VP to throw out the true electors in those 7 states, planning to have the military seize voting machines in states won by Biden and delay the certification beyond the inauguration date, and finally sending a mob to attack the Capitol to stop the counting of electoral college votes and maybe hang the VP and murder a few senators and congressmen while you are there while POTUS does nothing to stop the attack for 3 hours. If that's not an attempted coup I don't know what is.
