The Times owner said that if he had done this to protect his own property, he probably would have been better prepared to protect the property of the citizenry of he was in charge of the assets of the City and County. When will Democrats learn that we need successful businesspeople to manage government and not lifelong politicians?

My understanding is Rick didn't help with any infrastructure in, near or around his projects - so they don't have the needed infrastructure to help protect against fires (i.e. they didn't install enough fire hydrants) - which is why he NEEDED to hire free lance fire fighters to protect his properties. Also, he can afford it. He a BILLIONAIRE. Didn't help his daughter's home as I understand it burned down. Haven't heard about the fate of his son's home either. So, you think that because Rick was able to hire free lance fire fighters, we would be better able to deal with this fire storm? Monday morning QB's are always right. Right?
