acknowledged today that he regrets that his editorial board decided to endorse Bass for Mayor.  Any board member from that time period that has not resigned have since been fired from the Times.

 
Bass's opponent for Mayor, Billionaire developer Rick Caruso (referred to as the Walt Disney of shopping malls) has had in place for several weeks private fire crews to protect his shopping malls from wildfires.  The Times owner said that if he had done this to protect his own property, he probably would have been better prepared to protect the property of the citizenry of he was in charge of the assets of the City and County.  When will Democrats learn that we need successful businesspeople to manage government and not lifelong politicians?

to completely foreclose Democrat comments, but I just read it again, and yeah, I gotta hand it to myself, there is not much here that allows a viable argument in opposition.  Maybe the night crew will think of something to say that won't embarrass themselves.   Lol

My understanding is Rick didn't help with any infrastructure in, near or around his projects - so they don't have the needed infrastructure to help protect against fires (i.e. they didn't install enough fire hydrants) - which is why he NEEDED to hire free lance fire fighters to protect his properties.  Also, he can afford it.  He a BILLIONAIRE.  Didn't help his daughter's home as I understand it burned down.  Haven't heard about the fate of his son's home either.  So, you think that because Rick was able to hire free lance fire fighters, we would be better able to deal with this fire storm?  Monday morning QB's are always right. Right?

within his projects to meet local building codes.  It's the areas AROUND his shopping centers, which are managed by the city and/or county administrators, mostly elected Democrats that can't manage much of anything.  

 
I have absolutely NOT doubt that Caruso would have managed this fire crisis better than Karen Bass is.  You should agree with me on this.  He knows how to manage people and resources on a large scale.  Karen Bass has absolutely no experience at this.
