...but from what you've said, I'd say the odds seem very good that he's okay. But if you aren't comfortable, then pass. Both parties need to feel safe in order for a good time to be had.
If you are uncomfortable with the discussion, and I can see why you might be, call and tell him it's not going to work out. You don't have to go through with a date that makes you feel unsafe.
Hi Katrina, He really shouldn't be saying things like that as everyone else mentioned. Sometimes they include the "bring toys" in email if you checked that off on your 411 profile. I have NEVER had anyone say "go to the pharmacy" though. The combination would spook me too. Does he have multiple ok's on 411? Are they recent? Under 6 months or so? Read the self help on 411 that explains how their code is made up (john-x-xx-xxxx) Gina recommends checking code or extra screening. Don't trust upscale hotel per say. Overall if you feel uncomfortable take a pass and trust your gut. May be helpful to join the provider only board when you can, lots of great screening tips.

don't feel comfortable, then politely cancel. Being discreet is #1, so he must be an idiot or LEO to be saying those things. No sense in taking any chances, as there are many hobbyist who are not an idiot like that guy.
to me. why would he be demanding you to bring stuff?
More times than not... providers already have the toys and the covers ready to go. Why even bother mentioning it?
Now, I do bring my own brand of condoms due to my sensitivity to latex. I bring them to the session and explain to the lady that I prefer to use my preferred brand this due to my allergic reaction to latex. Every lady has been cool about it.
If I were you... I'd pass on this guy... sounds too spooky to me...

I am not sure where you live but the "Stop by the pharmacy" thing. Where I live, that would probably result in the dial tone and a blocked number. Escalation by LEO. Good day and be safe
