Is it possible to hobby using an alias?
If yes, is it cool with providers? Will they try to verify your name by looking at your drivers license?
If not, it doesn't seem fair that providers use aliases and even blatantly switch their names several times during their career and insist that we have to expose our identities.
I think even date-check uses a government ID as part of their system.
Alternatively, can you openly use an alias with contact and appointment setup and then supply your real name just for screening? I mean say to her, "Brad isn't my real name, I just use it in the hobby."
There has to be a way around using my real name.
There's no way you'll be able to set something up with any reputable agency or indy without providing your real name.

They almost always check id. I have had a couple of experiences where they didn't but only a couple.
All depends on who, what, when , Where and how.

99% get the full on screen, Which initials there real first name.

physically measure up to a 200+ lb. guy. They have a right to know who they are meeting for intimate time. You get to see their pics, read their reviews, etc., without screening,they have nothing more than an e-mail or phone call.
If you can't comply with their screening requirements, then move on.
At first I was a little unsure about giving out my real name, but I soon realized that this is 100% a game/business of trust. Odds are you're twice her size and its for her safety. You trust that she's not LE or some psycho ex-gf type who will make your personal life a living hell, and she trusts that you're not LE or some creep/weirdo/stalker type who may eventually lead to harm. If she's not the type who you can trust with your personal info, find a quality provider that is. In all honesty, its not like yours is the only private information she has.

I realize that it is scary, but keep in mind that you have a half dozen or more fellow hobbyist vouching for the gal via her reviews. This is why review sites like TER are so important.
There are, in fact, sites that careful gals use to screen guys, but obviously not everyone is listed on there.
Your question about how can a gal feel safe begs the question of whether or not she is the type of provider who even cares about feeling safe.
Some do, and some don't. The latter are to be avoided at all cost.
I don't see why this is an issue. If you're willing to undergo screening but you want her to call you Antonio instead of your real name, it shouldn't really be a problem as long as everything checks out.
If you're uncomfortable showing your ID in person why not tape off everything but your name and the photo and show it to her that way?
