I found a small agency in my area that caught my interest and I'd like for my first time to be there.  I'm just wondering, I assume these kinds of places have regular STD tests for their providers, right?  Also, would it be rude of me to ask to see a particular provider's most recent STD test results?

it leads to "when were you last tested, and can I see the results?"  How would you answer?  Do you keep the paperwork on hand?

Should you assume that your small agency girls are tested? - NO!!!  If they are smart, they do ( and most are smart), but not everyone is smart.

Looking at all of your posts, you are obviously on the cusp ofjoining the hobby. However, unless you are in a place where prostitution is legal, licensed and regulated, you have to take the STD risk.

Whether it is rude is inconsequential. Whether the shop owner is forthright is the $64,000.00 question

Is it rude to ask? No. Do you honestly expect an honest answer though??

Rule of thumb: Never assume the person you are with - provider OR civillian - is safe and clean, and take precautions accordingly.

If you are going to hobby you are going to have to accept the reality that STD's exist and, to some degree, you are at risk. I would be willing to bet that the providers I've seen over the last several years are a lot more cautious than the civilians I was boinking immediately after Herpes and HIV reared their ugly heads years ago.
I don't think walking around asking providers and amp girls when they where last tested is going to get you anything but a case of blue balls.

Great, so we've (this culture) slipped back into the mentality that it's uncool/a mood breaker to ask about STD testing?  Yeah, let's just keep quiet about it and not ask questions.  Sorry, but this industry is one that should be the _most_ insistent on being safe and providing proof for peace of mind.  Providers who are not getting tested for STDs regularly are doing a great disservice to their clients by putting our health at risk.  Asking to see the most recent lab test results isn't sexy, but it's smart.

What about when you're dating someone monogamously and decide to take it to a physical level?  Do you talk about STDs first?  If not, you're a damn fool.

Please understand you must have an intimate,as well as trusted, relationship in order for a provider to share with you proof of her legal name (*otherwise the lab report could belong to anyone*)

Ok, she has a clean bill of health, and the paper to prove it, but as Tori points out below, unless you have an established relationship, you're not likely to see it.  Of course you have no idea of who she has seen, and what she has been exposed to (and if you visit her, you are also exposed) since her last check-up.

The quality indys and agencies of TER do exactly what you ask for.  But you seem to be obsessed with AMPs, one of the most high-risk  (LE and STD) areas of the hobby.  Ask a AMP manager if his/her girls are clean, what answer would you expect?

Oh for the love of Mike, no one is saying that you can't ask, or are wrong for asking. I just want to know who is cooking your crack for you because they do a mighty fine job if you actually think you are going to get an honest answer.

Furthermore, do you seriously think a lady is going to hand over a sheet of paper to you that contains ALL of her personal information just to show you she tested negative for STD's? Fat chance.

Another point you seem to keep missing here, is that we are talking about ladies who see a variety of partners. So your intended paramour was tested 3 weeks ago, and came up clean as a whistle. Great! Now you know that as of three weeks ago, she was clean. What about the last 3 weeks? Do you think she is any less of a risk than the lady you didn't go see who told you to take a flying leap when you asked her for paperwork? They have both been with partners other than you who's STD status you have no clue about.

Next item for discussion: So lets say we all test ourselves regularly, and have the papers to prove it. What's next? Some fools will think that means they have a green light to go BBFS. Egads, how stupid could that be?

You seem to think that just because others have a more realistic view of the risks, acceptance of that risk, and a realistic view of the likely outcome of making inquiries beforehand somehow means others are less cautious than you. You couldn't be further from the truth. Go to the general discussion board and search back a few weeks, and you'll find a never ending thread on the subject of BBFS in the hobby. See where pretty much every single provider who chimed in stands on the subject.

Your first posts seemed to be an understandable attempt at getting information. Now I have to wonder just how much you want to learn when your response to the reasonable replies you received is to get angry and then insult everyone. Well providers at least, and the men who see us without *gasp* demanding a blood test immediately before the fun begins.

Its simple really. This activity has risks. Plain, simple, period. Practicing safe sex reduces but does not eliminate those risks. Putting in the due dilligence of researching a lady before meeting her reduces but does not eliminate those risks. Asking her about her STD status before hand simply wastes your time and hers, while doing absolutely nothing to reduce your risk. If she does in fact test, she'll tell you. If she doesn't test, she sure as hell isn't going to fess up about it, so you've proven nothing.

If you can't accept some level of risk in this hobby, the only thing left is for you to find a new hobby. I suggest stamp collecting.
