It should be on her website. She shouldn't have to mention this. (nt)

Okay, so help me out here.  I read over and over not to discuss money on the phone nor in emails.  That is great when you see someone who has reviews and the price is mentioned in the VIP review information, or if it's on her ad.  But for non VIP's or ladies who choose not to be reviewed or who have not yet been rated yet one is ready to TOFTT, how and when do you broach the subject??  Any suggestions....

I think as long as you are polite and not explicit you should be fine.  Try something along the lines of "Could you please tell me what an appropriate gift/donation for an hour of your time/company would be"  You may want to follow that up with something along the lines of whether there are any additional fees you should be aware of.

Just be tactful, and you will probably get a pleasant response.

Thank you ladies, and I agree with NetM.  If going to the trouble of building a web site, then put it in there.  But for those without sites that use a location like City-Source, there's seems to be a problem with posting rates.  I presume the site owner does not approve for fear of....  Again, thank you for the suggestions

I agree with Michelle too. However, we've all come across the sites with no rates. But there is always a way to email the provider. I have no problem emailing and asking what the rate/fee is for the desired time.

But I always make email my initial contact, even if they have a phone number posted.

of course!  Just email and ask her to please write back with her rates.  You did not state for what and nor will she.  No sting possible here.

As a client I first check the website, and read it COMPLETELY, then if nothing is mentioned about handling the gift, I simply put it into a plain envelope, unsealed, and place in a conspicuous location when we meet.
