Having a TER account (the handle you post from) and a TER provider profile are two different things.
Your profile is created when a guy reviews you for the first time and the review is published. At that time, your profile is assigned a TER provider ID number. Often, the guy does not know enough to completely fill out your profile page accurately, so there are a lot of "Don't Knows" in it.
When you register for a TER account, you become a basic member (even if you clicked the "register as a provider link") and get a board "handle" (name) and the ability to post and read posts.
If you have a provider profile and review(s), you can have TER associate your "handle" with your profile by using the "contact us" link. Make sure to send them a link to your profile or to provide your provider ID. Once your reviews and member account are linked, every time you post a "See my TER reviews" link will appear below your handle on your post. You will also have free PM access, and the ability to red details of your own reviews (but not others). You must pay for membership to view details for all reviews.
You can update and correct information in your provider profile by using the contact us link or by submitting problem reports.
You can post an ad on your local ad board once every seven days. If your account is linked to your profile, guys can easily jump to your profile to check you out. You can also post a direct link to your website and a picture in your ad.
All of this is (and more) is covered in the "Self Help Center". Find the link under the life preserver icon at the top of the page here on the Newbie Board. I strongly suggest you read everything in the self-help center... all of the info for both provider and clients. Read a few pages of posts here on the Newbie board, as many questions are asked and answered many times - the answers you need are probably already posted.
Welcome to TER.
