I am new to the hobby. I have yet to make my first booking so is there a proper way of asking a provider if she carries STD's or when she was last checked?

Some will answer honestly. Some will answer dishonestly. Some will be offended that you are asking. Nothing good will come from bringing up the topic. If you ask, "do you have any STDs?" would you expect anyone to answer "yes."

Don't ever ask that question to Provider. EVER. My suggestion, I would not get into this Hobby, just yet.  

She may think he is wanting BB as in producing his clean papers which, incidentally, can be forged. Best not to say anything and do what one needs to do to protect ones self.

I do tell them the truth (which is I'm clean and get checked often) but I also included the fact that what else would I say lol.  I mean anyone can lie so asking is almost useless like asking if I'm a cop. Personality if a provider does have an std I would hope they would not be doing this or at least tell the clients upfront without having to be asked.  That's a perfect world. So as the others have said ... Don't even ask.  

it puts a cloud over the meeting.  If she told you she had a STD, you wouldn't see her.  So she wouldn't tell you, even if she knew.  The best you can hope for is that she really tests regularly.  And then, take as many precautions as you feel you need to.

I've seen enough posts in the Craigslist section of Rants and Raves to know.  There is also an underground world of hobbyists that trade info with each other that if you can get into may also give you some idea if anyone has caught anything.  It is rude to ask if a provider has STDs but that doesn't mean you can't scope out the area.  Your biggest worry (since you are wearing a condom right?) will be herpes and warts.  So look and see if she has a rash, blisters that have crusted up, or pimple like bumps in that area.  Remember if a lady shaves she's bound to have an ingrown hair or two and those bumps are usually in the pubic bone area...Those bumps are usually red and a lot of times you can see the ingrown hair through the bump.  But as others said, there is no 100% fool proof way to not catch STDs unless you practice abstinence.  I'd say you'd have a similar chance if not more of picking up an STD from a girl you picked up at a bar or went on a date with.  Most well reviewed providers get STD checks on a regular basis because contracting an incurable STD generally means you have to quit the business, or deal with an angry mob of hobbyists.

Ask her for her STD card. She will appreciate your knowledge and your sense of safety for both yourself and her!

Sure you can "ask" but you honestly think she knows if she does have an STD? If she was tested last week and had sex since then, the test is useless. That includes the 6 months before the damn test that she was having sex. Know your risks, and protect yourself. That is YOUR job, not ours. If you demand bbbj and cim, well...don't get angry if you catch something. Those are the breaks. Many lovely providers out there who do everything covered.
