Would you say it is inappropriate to send something along the lines of:
"I see you are visiting here on X day, would you be available for an appointment at 3:00 PM?"
Many of us mongers do have busy schedules and limited times of availability, would not a message like make that more sense?
I do not need to send an overly wordy message, nor make any commitments as far as verifying me, and therefore taking up the time of someone I do know, and have hopefully had a positive experience with, when you could simply respond "No, I am not available at that time".
I can then reply with a simple "Thank you, hopefully some other time"
If you are available, then we can proceed with the verification process and provide whatever information you like that I am willing to provide and go from there.
Why should I send you an excessively verbose message, giving more information that I my want to provide on an initial contact, if we quite simply can't even make a time arrangement work?
