I am a sexologist (says every escort, but seriously I have my PhD in Human Nature and live what I study ) so I am constantly studying sex and it's affect on society, culture, and relationships. I have been pondering this thought, even as far back as original sin. A fella told me in a session, while explaining how we arrived in my orbit/bed, that "variety leads to necessity". This was an amazing insight from a very aware man. What are your thoughts regarding this as it pertains to relationships or the hobby? Providers and Hobbyists I am sure will have different reactions, I know I did.  No judgment zone, simply asking a question and excited to hear responses.

My read would be that the ability to enjoy the variety of relationships hobbying provides leads to the necessity of maintaining the variety afforded each of us.  And also that the variety (or lack thereof) some of us receive at home leads to the ‘necessity’ of the hobby.

... to want variety in his sex life.  Getting back to primal needs/responsibility, we provide the seed for regeneration of the human race and nature calls us to seek out fertile environment for that.  Morality and our current culture naturally conflict with that desire.  Some men are better at keeping those inner needs tamped down, some are not.  Myself, when I see a shapely ass and substantial milk production potential, I simply want to smash!

On a subconscious level it is just the baser instincts we were taught about evolution and perpetuation of the species to seek out many mates.  On an intellectual level we strive for monogamy and the idea of true love instead of perpetuation of the species and safety from disease so condoms are used and one mate is preferred.  But as they say the grass is always greener or we want what we can't have.  Just some thoughts.

It was very interesting to read your comments.  I am of the train of thought that this phrase sort of lends itself to personality type or coping skills..  I know for me, before being a provider, I had limited experiences with men. When I discovered how sexual I am (variety) it did in fact lead to a necessity for fill in the gap... freedom, expression, touch, desire, intimacy, knowledge, diversity, change, and divorce. This is fun to play with because it challenges my nature to want to rationalize who I am and why I do things. In the end, there is no right or wrong, we are all just having the human experience called life and some people are adventurers and others are collectors, perhaps some need and others just want, while others prefer comfort and routine. I am always in awe of you men creating solutions that fill your cup and my mouth with...well, you know.

That rule probably served a purpose when there were actual providers regularly posting.  Now that it is a ghost town, at least provider-wise, the rule is a bit archaic.
