I don't get many reviews so it's always exciting when I get a couple of (nice) new ones. This got me wondering what the majority of you all think (and do) about reviews.
Clients--how often do you post a review on TER and what makes you do it? Does the experience have to be extreme to prompt you to write one (very good or very bad)? Providers--how many of you appreciate reviews? Do any of you explicitly ask for them? Forbid them? I recently got two really nice ones, so a big shout out to the two kind gentlemen who posted about me, thanks!
…if a provider asks for one, or if my experience was exceptional (good or bad) compared to her other reviews, or if potential clients need to be warned about a dangerous situation. Fortunately I’ve never had to do the latter, and it’s been many years since I had to write about an exceptionally bad experience. I don’t review someone again unless they request an update or there’s been a significant change in their service or appearance that hasn’t already been covered in other reviews.
I don't review most of those I see, but enjoy discovering and then reviewing new providers in particular. 1) In order to help new providers if they are the real deal. 2) In order to help hobbyists avoid scams, fakes or exaggerated reviews. 3) If I review an established provider it is usually to clarify something about her, or to give her a boost.
I post a review every time I meet someone unless there are some mitigating circumstances that make the visit non-typical. I've run into a few of those recently where my new friend has had something odd happen that resulted in a less than awesome experience for me, but I know it wasn't her fault. In those cases I skip the review. The rest of the time I write up an honest review so I can keep my VIP account alive and let others know what to expect.
I will write a review if the lady would like me to. I always ask her if it’s ok. As someone mentioned, I typically do not write a second review for the same person.
There are those providers (who are good) who still hate reviews. So out of respect I don't usually write reviews anymore. But if they ask, I surely would. I always write honest reviews. I actually just wrote a rip off review, so I am not against negative reviews. But other than that, my reviews have been positive because my experiences have been positive.
many years ago when I got started I would ask providers, to my surprise they would say no or I wish you would not. I did publish a few thinking I could use as references. none of providers care anything I posted on ter. today if I get negative session: upsell, cash and dash, very fake pictures. I review with one sentence on the other sites.
