Non-newbie question: how to last longer in bed?

Seriously, I need to teach my damn chihuahua who is the master. Before I exile myself to train on one K-girl at a time, I wonder if any kind gentlemen would give me some tips on how to last?

What could I have done?

I found this link that I thought was useful. According to it, I may have secondary PE because my dog was certainly stressed out by her overwhelming body. It was really anxious to get it on.  

Although I don't know if their suggestions would work for me.

One word . . . .

did not understand some of it; but, taking a stab at responding.  

First, sounds like it is in your 'head'.   It may be somewhat physical; but, I would say 20% physical - 80% mental.  Need to change how you think.  It sounds like you have anxiety and performance issues (mentally at least), and you are simply 'reinforcing' those thoughts every time.  I don't know how to change that - but, my best advice 'stop giving a fuck'.  If you come in 20 seconds or 20 minutes - who cares.  She certainly doesn't give a shit and prefers the former over the latter.

Looks like a useful link, yes. I also second CDL's Kegels recommendation.

One comment on that link, though, I'm not really a big fan of distracting myself by "thinking of something mundane such as multiplication tables" (one of the suggestions on the site). Why take yourself out of the experience? Plus as an Old Guy with testosterone levels that are OK but not what they were in my twenties, I find that that can backfire on me. As far as mental states and consciousness go, I'd look at meditation--there are studies that suggest it can improve sexual performance, and you get the bonus of being more aware and in the moment, not less.

A couple of books you might want to look at:

How to Make Love All Night (and Drive a Woman Wild) by Barbara Keesling. I haven't read this but have seen it recommended a lot, and it's on my "buy and try" list.

The Multi-Orgasmic Man by Mantak Chia. This one I have. I have just started working through it so can't claim results yet. I would say it looks promising, though. Worth taking a look at, in any case.

In general--and you probably know this already--the better your physical condition, the better your sex will be and the more control you'll have over it. And this may be a little speculative, but I strongly suspect that exercises that focus on your core and on conscious control of your movements, such as yoga and Pilates, would be especially beneficial.

I am not a fan of distracting myself for the same reason. I have always an interest in meditation, just don't know if I have the patience for that, but I will keep it in mind.

Already got "How to Make Love All Night" book LOL and will buy the other book too. Now I just need to start reading and practicing.

I feel embarrassed even thinking of doing Yoga and Pilates among the ladies for some reason. At least I can try Kegels since they seem easier. Yoga and Pilates may be a later thing as I like to lift weight more.

Very insightful and agree with everything you said

I have two suggestions, BOTH of them are also a lot of fun

The first is the least expensive, try a few shots of alcohol, partly to "take the edge off" partly to "desensitize" down there. What helped me...

I stumbled across the effectiveness of a drug called tramadol in extending my play time. When taking 50mg of it for back pain, I was pleasantly surprised to discover that I could actually now enjoy several minutes of oral or intercourse - whereas before it was measured in seconds.
