Just trying to spread the awareness as mine was caught early by a
mammogram.

I have a "Save the Tata's" magnet on the back of my car.  Can't emphasize enough the importance of all ladies taking care of one of my favorite food groups, namely, breasts, for all of us hungry mongers out here.

I couldn't agree more with you about early detection, and preventive care.   Some of the elders in my family (including my mother and God Mother) are still with us because they took the steps that you recommended, and early detection allowed them to get the medical care they needed in time in order to overcome this dreaded disease, and to recover as you have.  Your post is absolutely spot on...

It's painful, so worth it. My mom had her right breast removed this summer. It does not run in our family! Been a long few months for my family.
