There is nothing preventing the supporters of the original bill from trying to introduce another bill for the fall veto session in November. Everyone needs to be alert because nothing is ever truly dead until the legislature sine dies in January 2011. And even then they can start the process again after inauguration day!!!!!!!!!!!! Keep reading the Board and cheking for updates just in case.

But it's great news till we hear otherwise!

Enough of this doom and gloom already!  The sun could fall out of the ske and the moon could turn green!  MTA could offer free seevices next year!  

But today none of those things are happening and today that freakin bill is dead.... Even though we were told that there was no way it would not pass, it is dead!  So, I move that we all stop talking about the damn thing in any other sense and move on with our lives,  I am sure that you will let us all know if doom and gloom comes back!

While I agree that we should be relieved for the moment, I'm sure some politician will try to revive it in the future.  It is in their nature.

Even with the defeat of this bill, everyone should continue to be careful.  LE will continue to try to bust ladies and clients. I rather have my guard up, then have my defenses lowered.

we always need to practice due dilligence regarding screening etc... and I do appreciate all the efforts that have been put forth in trying to find a solution to this crap.  

However, when I got on here a few weeks ago trying to come up with a solution, Mr. Wriggs here chose to address a post to me with references to a crystal ball that he has regarding law making in Springfield and make some durrogatory remarks regarding a "pimp" and a "hooker" and me living in "blagos fantasy world".... We were told that there was no way this bill would not pass!  I have a flash for you.  If anyone thinks that Daley had nothing to do with this, you are in Blago's fantasy world.  Chicago is trying to get the "National Guard" to come in and help enforce the laws they have, the City and State are broke and you think "King Richard" is going to spend all the money and resources on enforcing this Bill and then give half the money to the State, you are in Blago's fantasy world.

I would bet money that a phone call went out to Cullerton telling him to fix this problem and that other Bill was designed to do just that ..... in a politically correct way!  This bill if passed, was going to be a financial disaster for Chicago if they were to enforce it!

So, it is dead.  No doubt about that and just like the counting of votes problem in Florida as with everything else regarding politics, we will probably never know the whole truth.  One thing for sure though is that I said it would not pass and it did not..... you said it would and it didn't.  Who cares what might happen in November or January.... this is April!
