Every one on here is hobbying via an alias.  If it's true, I don't see why naming a person, who is not using their real name anyway would be so detrimental especially when we are talking about AIDS.  Take what kind of appropriate action?

Do what you should be doing anyway. Get tested regularly. Assess how risky your current approach to the hobby is, and decide whether you are comfortable with that level of risk.

For most of us, assuming you are not doing anything BB beyond BJ, the most likely way to get HIV would be through some form of oral, giving or receiving, which implies a sore in your mouth, on your dick, or in her mouth. Thing is, oral "sores" are pretty common - brushing your teeth can cause abrasions that are sufficient for transmission of HIV. Common advice is not to brush your teeth within two hours of oral sex (yes, ladies, I know this means you may have to deal with even more bad breath). I have also been advised not to use mouthwash within two hours, though I do not understand the basis for that advice.

We are a high risk population, and I think it is likely we have all been within a couple of degrees of separation from someone who is HIV-positive. So you need to be aware of the risks and take reasonable precautions. The extraordinary aspect of the DC story, as I see it, is that she informed everyone, not that someone is HIV-positive, but maybe I am being overly dramatic?
