Regarding HIV Provider

I have answered over 100 emails regarding this issue, and would like to open a discussion regarding a few of the common themes.

1. many people asked me how I could be sure she has HIV :

I am NOT sure. I am going on what she wrote me in an email.

2. Do you have HIV ? :

NO I DO NOT

I had not seen her in over 2 years , but considering all the " cross pollination " in our community , I got tested right away and I am NEGATIVE

3. many people said they think she might be lying :

I have no idea. If you have a reason to think she is lying please let me know , as I would love to return to hobbying without fear.

3. Most of the hobbyists and providers seemed genuinely scared and felt like this is a game changer. :

How will you change ?  Stop Hobbying ? Stop provideing ? No BBBJ ?  I'd  like to hear peoples thoughts........ Here's mine :

I am really struggling with this. I love this hobby and dont want to stop. Everything I read says the odds of contracting HIV from BBJ and CFS are miniscule , but yet the fear seems real. Maybe because  I knew the provider . Maybe any risk is too much ?

I have been trying to only do CBJ  , but I must admit when Im in the room with a gorgeous woman looking up at me offering BBBJ , I am not sure I am strong enough to say no.

I have been avoiding the situation so far by getting HJ's,

If we can't talk about this issue here , then where can we ?

Thanks and feel free to PM as well

One thing that I will warn everyone is to stop worrying. It will cause you to have extra stress which will lead to problems with high blood pressure and other health problems.

For a peace of mind please get tested and get tested on a regular basis. Anyone who hobbies a lot should get tested once a month, others every 3 months. Also please make sure you get tested for everything, it might be best to go to a place that is not a public health clinic. I recommend that you pay out pocket and with cash.

In terms of cutting back I am not sure what I am going to do. I probably be more likely to stay with ATFs that I see on a regular basis. New pussy is always fun though. Once people stop bringing this stuff up people will forget and it will be party time again.

In terms of BBBJ, if one is offered it is hard for me to resist. I also like to eat pussy and on rare occasion eat ass(I will probably stop that).

I recommend these guys:

http://www.qstreetmds.com/

They charge $300 for testing. The also do other analysis to see if you have something else (mono/insurance covers that test). They are hobby friendly. You can get to them from the Dupont metro stop.

Other places they mostly draw the blood and urine and give the results without being able to talk to a doctor the same day.

For HIV, Herpes, and syphilis (that will kill you faster than HIV, btw) you get the results right away. For gonorrhea and chlamydia they have to send the urine to a lab.

When they take the blood just turn your head and/or close your eyes. They will take 5 things of blood.

A few years ago there was a major mono outbreak during the presidential election.

My buddy went to one and they took a device and put it down his penis hole. He told me it was pretty painful. He was happy to go to another place with more modern testing testing techniques.

if you are a lady, your gyno.  EVERY medical professional I see knows that I "sleep around".  I tell them that I am dating different gentlemen, but always use protection.  I have no doubt that they know about my part time profession, but too many std's, etc, manifest themselves in different ways, and I want to cover all my bases.  I get tested for all std's, hiv, and other communicable diseases every three months.  I have alsohave  had the "required" vaccinations.
Hugs and Kisses

I heard about this from backchannel an the boards, and ofcourse when things happen and go around there is the train of information from other hobbyists and providers. When this happens yes it makes one stop and think.

I know and understand that many of you are freaking out and some are considering slowing down or quitting altogether.  Why now? Honestly no matter what we would like to believe , there are hundreds of clients and hundreds of providers in the DC/MD/VA area. Many with glowing reviews and wonderful references and solid whitelistings.  This doesn't mean anything when it comes to our health.  It doesn't guarantee negative test results of anyone.  I am ONLY 100 percent sure of my own health and that of who I  do Doubles with. I know because I am very close with this person and have seen the tests for myself.

It is awful, sad an truely tragic for this person to have become infected.  I never personally met her, but knew of her and she was a respected woman in this community.  I am surprised that because this bit of information has come out that NOW people are "thinking".  The clients an providers take chances in this hobby each and every time.  We as providers do our best and try our best to satisfy our clients. It is up to us to decide for ourselves what we will do or will not do. I base my choices on safety and personal interests. Yes bbbj can lead to unwanted STDs, but the passing of fluids as in CIM, raises the chances a bit. And if anyone is doing BBFS, then you are definitely playing with fire.

The reason I say I am surprised at the sudden fear, worry and concern is because why now? We should all nè careful, some of us should be more careful, and we shouldn't live with our heads in the sand to think that EVERYONE in the hobby, client or provider is clean. In a perfect world maybe but this is the real world.  We have simply found put of a particular case and person that has HIV. Unfortunately we don't know who has what, because it would certainly make things alot easier.

The whole point of this post is to simply say be careful, and be smart and be aware.  I would hate for anyone to get hurt,  and I would also pray that if any ladies or clients that are aware of their STD and/or HIV status, please STOP and GET OUT!

1) I'm most likely not switching to CBJ.
2) HIV cure is very near. morbidity is just shy of a normal life regardless thanks to modern medicine.
3) If the condom accidentally breaks, I'll just dip my dick in listerine or alcohol...  40% vodka or something.
Prolly kills most of the germs instantly if acting quickly.  Any medical scientists/doctors on board wanna confirm/dispute this? lol

continue hobbying like before. Of course never had BBFS in civvie life  or hobbying life. I will continue to be receive DFK and BBBJ.

I'm so surprised that this wasn't discussed more.

Some guys are still seeing escorts after seeing her. I wondered if they even got tested??

I do worry about seeing a client that has seen an HIV+ provider or any provider with STD's.

We know the risks and being in an area with an HIV+ escort(that's retired) and sharing clientele with her is mind boggling. I limit my risks by getting full panel testing, HPV vaccine, examining a clients genitalia and performing covered BJ whenever possible to decrease my exposure.

areYouScaredToDEATH1302 reads

I remember a few years ago a guys skin broke and the lady got blood in her mouth. Not a nice situation.

mind boggling? My friends mother works as a receptionist at a doctors office in NOVA and she had told me once that I would be AMAZED at how many patients have HIV that come in.  It's a problem. It's everywhere. I think many of us just don't want to think about it, BUT it exists. No matter what we do and what precAutions we take, there are always risks. The only thing that is shocking is that a name popped up that many of us have heard of or know of.

 Be safe and happy everyone.

Ok I have done many things in this hobby of mines and imho we are all playing with fire.

1st condoms do break and even if u LFK someone with strep throat can pass it right to u.

To the provider who mentioned the saran wrap...Haha. I dont feel anything from dat so whats the point. Might as well lick something warm and wrapped for cheap.

CBJ's are the worst. Were condoms even designed for head? I mean really u might as well jackoff or request a HJ to get that ultimate feeling.

So according to some u want me to pay 300+ for lfk, cbj, and the rest of the positions. How do u stand out from the avg BP provider who provides those same exact services for half the price?

I am all for being safe and just continue to pray to God nothing happens to me from this as I would like to continue living but I might as well not hobby if I wanted to be 100% safe.

EasyCompany1399 reads

There seems to be a lot of denial regarding this issue.
Apparently, the alleged lady was providing for many {? 10} years, and was among the most reviewed on TER.
She likely had thousands of encounters over many years

It is well known that condom use is not 100% safe.
And, everything about HIV transmission is not yet clear.

What would be helpful would be to know time frame when her HIV status converted, as the virus can remain indolent for years before causing symptoms.

Go get tested, get tested often and think with your big head and stop worrying about who has and doesn't have what. The infection chances from female to male are miniscule compared to male to female, you're bigger worries are HPV and Herp. I'm not trying to down play the fact that a super popular provider may have become HIV infected, but how many of you walk into an appointment and demand test results each and every time and how many of you know your current HIV status when you knock on the door? You just never know what is really behind that door that opens to the empty room, and all you can do is keep yourself tested and think before you jump.

Also I'll give a shout out to the Whitman-Walker folks down at the Elizabeth Taylor Medical Center, free testing and doctors who specialize in AIDS/STD testing. They are well known amongst in the DC area as "the gay clinic" but they are for everyone, free of charge and non-judgemental.

I am done with this hobby.

I found out about this provider contracting HIV a couple of months ago from this board.  The discussion received surprisingly little attention at the time, most likely because the issue of HIV wasn't mentioned in the thread, only that a client had tried scheduling an appointment and received a response stating that she was retiring after contracting a "horrible disease".  The client set up a yahoo account for inquiries and I received an email forward from him that he received from the provider stating that she had indeed contracted HIV.

I met with this provider about two weeks before I found out about this.  Needless to say I went into full blown panic mode and immediately got a HIV PCR (early detection) test...it came back negative.  I have scheduled a follow up antibody test (recommended by my doctor at 8 weeks) for this week.

Before I received confirmation from the client that she had HIV, I tried contacting the provider at the time via text and phone calls, asking her if there was anything I needed to know.  I never got a response.  Obviously she was going through a lot at the time, but she has not properly informed clients in my opinion. She knew me well enough to text me on occasion, letting me know she was available. So while I haven't spoken to her since we met in early August,  the fact that I received no response led me to believe something is up and so I believe the rumor.  I hope this provider will get through this, she is a great person.

I have spoken with a medical doctor with 20+ years experience studying HIV.  He has told me that he has never encountered (or even heard of a legitimate case) where a male has contracted HIV from receiving BBBJ (much less DFK, DATY etc).  Regarding intercourse, condom protected sex is safe sex and the chances of contracting HIV from condom sex is almost zero.

It's very unlikely that any clients contracted HIV from her, but you should all get tested to ease your mind.  This has been a huge wake up call to me, and a rough two months. I have come clean to my spouse regarding my hobby, and we are working through it. I had sex with my spouse after meeting with this provider and I was worried sick I might have transferred something to my wife so I had to tell her, and I'm glad I did because I am done with this shit, it's just not worth it.  Get tested everybody.

...This is a wake up call......for now.  For whatever reasons you were hobbying in the first place AND married are not going to go away overnight.

After the dust and HIV paranoia settles you'll get that itch for Strange again and you'll be shopping at the Eros mall again.......

Thank you for alerting me to this risk. I will no longer see ladies with HIV.

is simply not possible.

Everyone is primarily responsible for their own health. I test regularly. Since the last time I saw this provider (over 18 months ago) I have tested didease free on multiple occasions. So I have no immediate personal concern.

If this provider is indeed ill, I wish her and her family/friends the best. However I do not think it likely that the illness came from the hobby, she was too careful. If she had behaviors outside the hobby that were high risk it is more likely the infection came from non hobby activities.

That tells me there are several ways one might proceed.

One is to do everything completely covered. That way you take everything under your own control.

Another way is to try to screen out providers who take risks outside the hobby. That is more difficult but not completely impossible. There are reliability issues with this approach which could only be solved by being intrusive.

Doing everything completely covered and doing additional provider screening may not be feasible for some. For those the options are more limited: stick with those providers that you have an established LTR with and whose habits you know OR drop out of the hobby.

i agree , i have been in the hobby for over 7 years and met some wonderful providers, some are still my friends today. You certainly  make and take your own risks when seeing a provider. i know when i am with an absolute beautiful women i can hardly wait to dine at the Y. i am not married and no girlfriend, just own a company and a workaholic. when i hobby i try to  always stay with my ATF's but still your taking a risk. i never really thought about HIV and never went BBFS even when some of my long term friends said it was ok. Since the recent posts on HIV, i got the full smorgasboard of tests done last week and just got the results this morning. ALL NEGATIVE:). i have to say it was the longest and most stressful thing EVER waiting for the results and i never want to have that feeling again.
i have decided to quit the hobby as of today. thank all the wonderful providers i have met over the years:) please everyone be safe and all the best.

First if you have read through all the information provided about this person it starts with retirement. Then it gets more personal saying how what they got affects their life with spouse and children.

OK what are the chances they were found out by their spouse and that is why they retired? Later someone reached out for legal help, for what? Doesn't say. You think it's for divorce? You think it's because of a bust? You think it's because they want to go after the one who gave it to them?

What are the chances their spouse decided to write that email to spread fear and affect those who wrote reviews, and those would now have to think is it worth the risk?

It is extremely difficult for me to believe they know the exact method of transmission, let alone the person they got it from unless that person came forward and told them they had it and suggested to get tested.

And with all this what are the chances they reached out to anyone who has not has sexual contact in years to give that kind of personal information so it could be spread around. I would think if they did have it they would be more likely to reach out to those who had sexual contact in a specific period of time and simply say please get tested and keep this private.

What are the chances? Well, I think it's more likely this rumor is just that, a rumor,  more than it is actually true.

What are the chances of oral transmission? There are no statistics or factual accounting of cases with 100% certainty the transmission was due to oral sex. Is it possible, of course. But before everyone starts freaking out please spend time to become informed outside of this forum.

For the guys, the chances you will not get HIV from receiving a BBBJ unless you are cut and have open sores, she bites your dick off, or doesn't know what a blow job is and tried to inflate your dick like a balloon.

Anyone who is shocked or surprised by any of this has never taken the time to know what the risks are. It is more likely you will be arrested in the course of your time in the hobby that to contract HIV unless you like to have bare back sex with junkies, in that case your chances are very good you will catch something if not HIV.

How risky is it?

There are a few known cases of people getting HIV from giving oral sex (licking or sucking). There are no known cases of someone getting HIV from receiving oral sex (being licked or sucked). Experts believe that oral sex without protection is less risky than other kinds of sex, but all agree that it is possible to get HIV from giving oral sex to an HIV-infected partner without protection, especially if the HIV-infected partner ejaculates in the mouth. Certain factors, such as the presence of any cuts or sores in the mouth, are thought to increase the riskiness of oral sex.

Giving oral sex (blow job) to a man has been proven to carry some risk of getting HIV, although most scientists believe the risk is relatively low. The risk increases if the person giving the blow job has any cuts or scrapes in his or her mouth, even small ones that can be caused by brushing or flossing right before sex. To have safer oral sex, avoid getting any semen in your mouth, either by stopping oral sex before ejaculation or by using a nonspermicidal condom. You can use an oral barrier such as a dental dam or plastic wrap to make oral-anal sex (rimming) safer.

Giving oral sex to (going down on) a woman is also relatively low risk. The possibility of infection is higher if there is menstrual blood, if the woman has another STD in addition to HIV, or if the person performing oral sex has sores or cuts in the mouth. You can use an oral barrier such as a dental dam or plastic wrap to make oral-vaginal sex (cunnilingus) or oral-anal sex (rimming) safer.

Thanks for taking the time in explaining the possible scenarios with rumors and explaining to us about the chances of getting HIV.

I believe we all have concerns here. I wish there is someway that these providers could carry health cards like Vegas to give us some reasonable safety for our health. After the fun, I have to go home to my family, and I would like some kind of insurance that the provider is reasonably clean.  We should start demanding some type of prove that they are clean. The provider should be getting tested at least once a month, showing us some type of document that they are clean, at least, from our regular providers. I believe privately we can do this. At least I can speak for myself, I believe the more $ less likely the chances of getting burn. I know this untrue. Besides CFS, I would like to here other ways to have that GFE with the provider.

DMVA, If you want providers to prove they are clean so should clients. I believe quite a number of clients see low end girls (and/or streetwalkers turn backpage hookers, higher volume) as well as higher priced girls.

Guys think with the little head when they are horny and will nearly fvck anything (read the reviews. I was horny, had an itch, none of my atf's were available, etc, wasn't the girl in picture but stayed anyway, took one for the team and regretted it, etc, etc, LOL).

Regarding HIV transmission from bbbj, the risk is higher if you have a cut in the mouth, just brushed your teeth. What lady doesn't brush her teeth? Or brush and gargle with mouthwash (which is worse since certain mouthwashes dries your mouth and remove healthy bacteria). How do you prevent precum from entering your mouth giving a bbbj? You can't. Women are more at risk than men.

areYouScaredToDEATH1154 reads

I know some guys who see both TER providers and street walkers on a regular basis. One guy use to pay big bucks and see TER providers 3 times a week. He is now just going for $80 - $100 specials now that spill over into 1 hour sessions.

One of the guys bragged about doing BBFS a few years ago. He had a technique to see if they were clean. There were certain races of ladies he would do BBFS with. He acted like he was getting a piece of gold. I told him that he is crazy !!!

Another guy was offered BBFS greek recently. He had to back off the lady and put the condom on. She attempted several times to try to put his dick in her ass without a condom.

But thanks for the info.

I will continue to get blow jobs and nothing will change for me.  I'd rather die with a smile on my face...
( and my cum on a girl's face. LOL but I digress)

I play it very safe and I'm not worried one bit.
Maybe because believe in the magic of modern medicine and know how close they are to a cure for HIV.  They already have a functional cure but it will take some time for FDA approval.

I've read only 1 maybe 2 post that bring out the fact that the chances she contracted the HIV was via her Civi life.

Given everyone thinks/believes/experienced that she was so careful in her provider life that the chances are greater she contracted in her civi life.  And hell, may have even contracted from her hubby.

Given her apparent safety in the hobby she may not have even passed it to her clients.

The scenarios are endless.  But the point is.  The impact of what she does and what she practices in her civi life and it's contribution to increasing her risks of contracting HIV has not been fully considered.

areYouScaredToDEATH1042 reads

I made the decision long ago that if I had more than 1 partner that I would ALWAYS use a condom for vaginal and anal sex. This is with the SO at home. other civies I see on the side, and providers.

Lets not jump to conclusions here.  Everyone is going by an email in which the provider sent a form email to hobbyists who emailed her indicating that she caught a "horrible disease" and she is retiring.  The provider never said she is HIV positive and no one has seen her test results.   HIV is a horrible disease but so is herpes and other diseases.  While it is a good idea to get tested for HIV on a regular basis as others have said, the risk of catching HIV from bbbj is low although you can easily catch a number of other STDs.   It is also possible that someone like LE took over her email account and intended to scare everyone away from this hobby.  Stranger things have happened.  Lets be careful out there but don't assume things that are not certain.

HoP_youdecide1519 reads

or is this all just speculation? I mean if she had a few close clients (everyone does) that she kept in contact with wouldn't they know the real deal?

Just to be clear , I did not get a " form Letter " from her. I asked her directly if the rumor that she had HIV was true and she sent me a direct  personal email back explaining that it was true.

I am not claiming with certainty that your theory is wrong , just pointing out that my contact with the provider was not a form letter.

3. many people said they think she might be lying :

I have no idea. If you have a reason to think she is lying please let me know
From my knowledge of this lady she is not the lying type.  I would need to see some very strong evidence before I believed that about her.

OK...

As someone in the health care field I feel compelled to respond.

First, I do not know who this person is, or what manner of service she was providing. On a personal level, I wish her all the best.  The drugs available today are much less disruptive and she can still expect to have a good long life as long as she follows medical protocols.

As for everyone freaking out...

Oral sex... it is an extremely low risk for HIV transmission.  So low it has never been statistically proven to actually be a route of transmission.  Enzymes in the saliva are exceedingly good at destroying the virus and the reported cases that claim this as a route of transmission are not particularly well documented in all honesty.

Vaginal sex with a condom... you are again, at a REALLY low risk for transmission.  Granted the woman is more vulnerable given anatomy, but still, it is really low.

Your biggest risk if you are a provider is anal intercourse...  Just due to the anatomy.  Again, using a condom reduces the risk astronomically.

The only real way you are exposing yourself to a "good" chance of HIV transmission is if you are engaging in bare back sex either vaginally or anally.  Oral sex is more likely to transmit herpes than HIV in all honesty...  But again, even that is relatively small and within statistical margins that can not actually claim to count it as a vector of transmission.

The bottom line is that if you are having sex with providers and NOT using condoms...well, you are running a big risk.  If you are using condoms correctly, you are almost assuredly safe.

Stop freaking out.  Yes, get tested, but do not spread false info.  Study after study shows that when condoms are introduced into heterosexual communities the HIV transmission rate practically drops off the charts.  The only real new cases almost always involve an admission by the individual that they did indeed have unprotected sex and in many cases it was anal.

I hope this helps...

I received a email by somebody I am sure is trying to be  a good Samaritan.

But as I told them in my response. Spreading gossip and not helpful info is not what is needed.
I hope she did retest as well. As a gay adult performer also tested a false positive this yr.

The best thing anyone who is in this hobby can do for themselves is to actually be informed. Not spread rumors or innuendo.
And as a adult performer I use http://talenttestingservice.com/default.asp for my std testing. But I have also recommended http://www.whitman-walker.org/ for free testing.
The person I had received the email commented as to why most ladies who provide not have health care.
I guess they don't read or watch the news. The average American has No health  coverage.
They had also commented as public clinics do not perform herpes test.

Let me make a public comment to emphasize this point. Ladies and gentlemen. We are all grown ups doing grown up things. We need to conduct ourselves as such.

If you need a herpes test done YOU ONLY NEED TO ASK! If you prefer to have a full panel screening done. JUST ask.
It is not someone else  responsibility but your own.!

I have yet to read a post  regarding firsthand exposed  and 2nd hand exposed.Or weather this poor woman was retested. I wish all those exposed the very best.
Now as I put to the person who emailed me.

I hope the email request for bbfs will finally come to a stop. If you ask a woman for it she should always turn you down.
Food for thought.
