for romantic restaurants in Boston? Looking for something small, probably privately owned (not a chain) and great wine selection.

Any suggestions welcomed!

the seating is fairly intimate, the atmosphere quiet and comfortable, and the food never worse than great and often superb.  They have an excellent wine selection also.    The cuisine is northern Italian.

It's Sorellinas, right at the start of Huntington Ave next to the Library.

Once I bring a new date there, they always ask to go back.

Just tell them that mrfisher sent you, and they'll give you a funny look.

I was going to suggest Buzzy's Roast Beef, next to the former Boston City Jail, but they closed down years ago (~2002). In which case, Sorellina's is a fine suggestion.

While I do not eat out in public often, here are some good suggestions including Mr Fisher's.

That’s hysterical!
Back in the day, we would hit Buzzy’s after a night of drinking.

Funny!
