for romantic restaurants in Boston? Looking for something small, probably privately owned (not a chain) and great wine selection.  

the seating is fairly intimate, the atmosphere quiet and comfortable, and the food never worse than great and often superb.  They have an excellent wine selection also.    The cuisine is northern Italian.

I was going to suggest Buzzy's Roast Beef, next to the former Boston City Jail, but they closed down years ago (~2002). In which case, Sorellina's is a fine suggestion.  

While I do not eat out in public often, here are some good suggestions including Mr Fisher's.

In South End. ... You can also tell them Mr. Fischer sent you and see what happen, LOL
