This is the difference

Ok I talked with my pornstar friend about this and this is what I had to tell her what I think the difference is:

GFE --is girlfriend experience meaning it is more sensual, heavy petting, lots of lfk/dfk, pampering and massages and things of the sort.  Basically she is catering to you like in a relationship type experience.
